It's a small but great property with everything you need. There's no shower but the bath is lovely! There are fantastic restaurants within walking distance and nice walks along the beach. The local bus service is great and the connections from Ventnor to the rest of the island are easily accessed and reasonably frequent. This is definitely a great option if you are looking to stay anywhere on the south coast of the IoW.

Lovely place. Justine responded to any query very quickly and even got us a discount on the ferry! The house itself is beautiful, it feels like a real home but without making you feel you are intruding on someone’s place. Well equipped with helpful little signs everywhere. Location wise it is a short walk to Appley Beach, near lots of restaurants yet peaceful and quiet as it is a road back from the beach. Great sea views from the bedroom too. In short - we’d definitely come back and stay here when we are next in the Isle of Wight.

Lovely spacious property with everything provided that you would need for a weekend stay and self cater. We had family over to visit and easily had 12 of us for lunch and great outdoor space for kids and dogs.

A lovely few nights at The Salt Shack. Great location for beach fun. Karen’s communications were spot on and very quick. The facilities are great , clean, modern and stylish. The cupboards are well equipped with all you’ll need. Local shops and cafes are close and plentiful. We especially enjoyed Billy’s on the beach for its menu , service and Sufy vibe. Our granddaughter loved the sand play area and the outside surfboard shower with hit water ! Kurfürstendamm venture to this area and will be back for more I’m sure.

Wonderful house in a terrific, peaceful location. The house and gardens are idyllic, and we loved spending time in the hedged gardens in the evening sun after playing tennis. The house is within easy access of all the best landmarks of the New Forest and also bang on the coast. The interior of the house has great style and charm and is a great place to spend time in.

We had the best time staying in this beautiful home in Cowes!!! Nicholas had thought of everything and it really did make all the difference. Especially the welcome package of prosecco, fudge, grapes and cupcakes, such a great way for our trip to start. Along with the welcome folder which had all the information you would need in. It was super central, easy to walk to everything we needed and the house itself is just stunning, so clean and cosy. The hot tub was also a perfect bonus to the stay after a long day of walking to jump into. And Nicholas was great if we needed any help during our stay. We are 100% going to book to stay here again. What can I say? apart from 'WOW' ! We booked Xander's Tall House for the IOW festival w/e for our daughter and son to join us with their partners and we were looking for a family orientated space with ample facilities. This house delivered in every aspect - and more! Xander is an exemplary host from the point of booking and throughout our stay being very responsive and super helpful. From opening the front door we knew that we were in for a treat! Beautifully furnished with a homely feel, a fabulous rustic kitchen which opens out onto the cutest courtyard garden for dining and which we made good use of. Loads of space with 2 sitting rooms on different floors together with 2.5 bathrooms and 4 large bedrooms there was plenty of room to spread out as well as be together! The absolute icing on the cake however has to be the location. A 2 minute walk from Bembridge's array of little shops and also the beach! Wow! This house is a gem and we had a wonderful stay. Thank you Xander!

Echoing other reviews, this is an absolutely stunning place. I totally fell in love with it - so unique, full of character, beautifully done up, and with everything needed for a stay. Such fun being lulled to sleep by the sounds of the sea. Thanks for a truly fab stay.

A great location for exploring the New Forest. I’ve been before and the flat is ideally located to explore Brockenhurst and beyond and had everything that I needed. A lovely few days, and will definitely be back in the future.

Such a lovely place to stay within a ten minute drive from East and West Witterings. We’ve stayed in this area a lot but wanted to be somewhere that was a bit more special and sentimental for our baby’s first holiday. This totally fit the bill as the carriage feels really special. Everything feels really high spec - things like the water pressure being great and the bath being so luxurious make this far from camping but with all the appeal of being away from it all. The area around the carriage makes the place almost twice the size in the summer and we loved sitting out well into the evening. It was also ideal for keeping an eye on the little one as everything was so close together. The outdoor space also feels very secluded and private and isn’t in any way overlooked. There is even a swing set for children and a shaded picnic bench. In the early hours with a baby it was so peaceful watching little bunnies hop past and the swallows flying overhead. Couldn’t recommend enough!

A beautifully presented house, very spacious, spotlessly clean and top-end appliances and furniture. Really appreciated the little extras including a lovely bottle of wine. The location at the top of the High Street means a very short walk to shops, restaurants and the sea front - there are a lot of steps though up to the apartment if you have mobility issues. Highly recommend.

We just loved the apartment. Easy location right by ferry, Waitrose around the corner. Very quirky and stylish. Would definitely return

We liked here very much! Place was clean, Creydi helped us with clear instructions, many recommendations and quick responses. The location is right on point, very close to the beach but also in the heart of the city-party! We also enjoyed a smooth, flexible check-in. Highly recommend, especially that they opened another room nearby, in the same pretty style!

Iveta was very helpful and accommodating as we were unable to tell her our estimated time of arrival due to family circumstances. The lovely touch of chocolates and candles were appreciated. The appartment is spacious and well equipped. The parking space especially welcome as there doesn’t appear to be any other parking. Was also close to Southampton hospital which was what we needed .

A truly wonderful place to stay. Very unique with beautiful antique period furniture. Very peaceful and a lovely garden with outstanding views. Harry was very promt to reply to messages. He greeted us and showed us around then checked we were ok the following day. The property is very close to the town and transport links. Onsite parking was an added bonus.

We had a wonderful stay. The flat was spacious, comfortable, well equipped and in a great location, convenient for the shops, beach, coastal walks and access to other parts of the island. We loved the view from the bay window and enjoyed our cosy evenings and watched some of the large selection of dvd's. We'd highly recommend it for a holiday for a couple or a family.

Lovely long weekend stay. Tim was very responsive to any messages. Plenty to keep us occupied in Hayling Island for a the weekend, and a great base to explore further.

The house was the perfect place for our family and we enjoyed staying here so much we’ve actually already booked to come back! Having access to the beach meant being able to quickly pop down with our small children around bedtimes and naps and waking up to the view every morning was magical! The house had everything you could ever need, was so clean and comfortable and we instantly felt relaxed the minute we walked inside! Thank you Daisy! X

We had a great stay, even in January, and the house was perfect for us (6 adults, a 4-year old, 2 dogs) The house was warm and spacious with lots of kids toys and extremely well equipped. The hot tub in the garden is a lovely addition, despite high winds meaning we couldn’t always use it! It’s well located near Cowes and its amenities, amidst other houses but on a quiet road, with great views because it’s on a hill and very near the sea, though not a beach as such. We would certainly return if we can.

Charming house and gardens in such a beautiful location. Daryl the caretaker was hugely helpful and enthusiastic. The lift to the 1st floor was a godsend for Granny!
