Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Ruokolahti

We've stayed a total of 8 times on the canal with a large group. It's easy to find, check-in at your own time is easy and hassle-free. The milieu is beautiful, in the best place to follow the seasons. The floor plan of the house is good. Bedrooms are upstairs and common areas downstairs. A larger group can sit at the large dining table. The living room can also accommodate a larger group. Iida always responds quickly, and it's easy to agree on things. Lovely farm setting. It was nice to visit the beach sauna at the end of a long cycling trip. Mummola was nostalgic and in peace, I highly recommend.

We spent two weeks at Santeri's place and we felt like home in the first second. The house is located in a beautiful area, it's very quiet and peaceful, and there are nice hiking paths starting right next to the house. It was very clean and the house is perfectly equipped. The beds were very comfortable. Santeri is a great host, very supportive, and he has replied super fast. Thank you for letting us stay there.

A true dream ! Everything on site and Satu such a warm hostess ... Pure nature and relaxation, even if secluded you have everything you need and much more : motorboat , rowing boat, kayak, sauna, swimming, playing darts... It's not getting boring …. We could have easily spent 2 weeks there... Trips to Anttola or mikkeli are also great... I hope we come again ... Highly recommend . Thank you Satu for the great four days in your house ♥️

Everything was great. The house is beautifully located in a perfect location. Well and tastefully furnished, right on the beautiful lake. Sauna,boat and billiards are also great. Large supermarket (S-market) is not far away. You have your peace and can also do a lot in the area. Matti is a great,likeable and helpful host!Everything was wonderful and we'd love to come back!

Loved the cosy feel of the cottage, especially the fireplace and outside sauna. We all enjoyed playing games at night and were delighted to awake with unbelievable lake view.had a amazing time there,I wish we could have spent more time there,for sure will visit again.

Excellent accommodation in a quiet house within walking distance of Puumala city center. Communication with the host was fine. It was nice to read a book on the balcony sofa.

If you're out for modern pampering, this is not for you.But if you want ti be alone by the lake, without a shower and regular toilet, but wit a row boat, wood fired sauna and hot tub, compost toilets (but also electricity, full kitchen, cellular coverage and tv) and most if all the amazing beauty around (incl. mosquitoes) memorable, then definitely go fir it. we had a wonderful time.

A magnificent cottage in a magnificent location in perfect peace and quiet. The cottage was very clean and had everything you needed for cooking, etc. Firewood was ready for the sauna and fireplace, and there were also outdoor games such as darts, petanque and mölkky. Timo responded quickly to questions and the arrival and departure was quick and effortless. I would definitely come back!

My family had an amazing weekend getaway at Elena's cottage by the lake. The house is beautiful and had all the amentities we needed and more. The natural surrounding are beautiful and the atmosphere was very peaceful. We would definately stay here again!

Eeva is a fantastic host! The check-in experience was very smooth—Eeva’s brother was already waiting for us at the cottage when we arrived. He explained everything in detail, and we paid the hot tub fee in cash (MobilePay and bank transfer were also available as options). On the first night, we noticed that one of the rooms had a broken radiator. We contacted Eeva, and not only did she apologize, but she also arrived at the cottage with a spare radiator within 30 minutes. The cottage itself is spacious and comfortably accommodates 14 people. Upon checkout, as we were leaving, one of our cars got stuck on the slope due to poor weather conditions. Eeva came to our aid and offered to have her brother bring his tractor to sand the road. Fortunately, we managed to get the car out without needing the sand, but Eeva went above and beyond to ensure we had the help we needed. Overall, it was a great experience with an amazing host. I would happily recommend others to visit.

We liked the accommodation very much and everything was as you would like: The handover was flexible, friendly and uncomplicated, the house was clean and equipped with everything you need. Jari was always friendly and very helpful. You can do a lot: The sauna has a fantastic location and a great view from a large window, you can swim very well and there is various equipment for water sports. We recommend this place and would love to come back!

A really charming old farmhouse with courtyards. The sauna provided soothing steam. It felt really nice to arrive when we were welcomed by Kaisa, who had heated the oven especially for us. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking. We would be happy to come again.

Holidaying like a Finn! The holiday cottage is located in the most unique location on the private island in the middle of a jaw-dropping lake. It's a short ride by boat from the mainland where the car is parked. The log cottage has modern comfort and lots of traditional elements such as fireplace and traditional rugs. The highlight of stay was the wood burning sauna built as a separate hut. We spent long hours between warming up in the sauna and cooling down in the lake. Although, there is no morden shower, we have never been so clean! The sauna has hot water and buckets for washing. We left the island for beautiful hikes in Puumala and Neitvuori mountain. We also went roaring the boat to the nearby resort on mainland which has a restaurant, a spa and equipment rental. We amused ourselves with chopping wood, cooking on fire, picking berries and staring on still and crystal clear waters of the lake and listening to the sounds of forest. It's peaceful, beautiful and rememberable!

We’ve stayed here the second time and can only highly recommend it. The location is perfect. Quiet, relaxing, and ideal for unwinding. Everything was clean and well organized. We’ll gladly come back again!
