Great place to stay! Has everything needed for a great vacation and the location is superb. Bikes and boats are provided for free. We really enjoyed exploring the lake by boat. We are looking forward to coming back one day :)

Very nice lakeside and forest location. The kids loved the swing, especially for adults.

The place is even better than the pictures. Beautiful nature and peace of mind make you relax. The kids found frogs and lizards in the yard and were excited. The water is warm and from the end of the dock is a good jumping. Be sure to bring small floats as the beach is deep. There are plenty of outdoor games and things to do in the yard. Inside is a fierce collection of movies to watch. The kids and adults were very comfortable. We already miss back!

The visit to Lappeenranta was successful, the location of the accommodation was great. We walked to the store for about 3 minutes, to the Tuju brewery restaurant for about 10 minutes. In the evening, we went swimming before the sauna at a nearby swimming spot, a summer evening at its best.

Beautiful quiet retreat on a lush island. Everything you need to relax and enjoy your time is provided. There was even a midsummer traditional treat waiting for us. Satu is kind and responsive. She makes sure her guests are comfortable and enjoy their stay. Highly recommend.

The house was exactly what we were looking for: a cabin in the middle of the woods, in full contact with nature, perfect for admiring the lake area. We were right on a lake practically everything to ourselves, we also took a nice ride on the lake with the rowboat (there was also the engine but we didn't use it) and the sauna all to ourselves! Awesome!!! In the evening, eating outdoors in silence was wonderful. When we returned to the house we turned on the fireplace, beautiful. The children especially appreciated the darts and the pier on the lake. The house had all the comforts, even if the bathroom was external and organic: a hole with a bucket underneath, where you had to throw fertilizer between times, but it was all reported and it was also fun! The only problem was the cleanliness, because the house was not very clean, but so in the middle of the woods we could safely bear: we cleaned a little and adapted. In general, I highly recommend it!!

Great place to stay! We were a group of 5 ppl and 3 dogs and it was perfect for our new years get away from fireworks and loud city sounds. Still a few random fireworks before midnight but nothing crazy, so perfect for our needs. The sauna was a great size, the home was well equipped for lots of people, plenty of dishes and table space. The outside area and deck are also great for groups. There are a few other cabins/trailers in the same area so it’s not completely private, but it was still quiet. Great place to stay. Important to note: no freezer and outside grill is shared amongst other cabins.

Very peaceful cabin in a beautiful surrounding. The lakeside sauna and the shallow lake made it ideal for swimming and relaxing. The amenities at on the site are very useful and a nice addition, from the bbq area to the rowing boats available. The area itself is lovely and there is a great 8km jogging/walking route around the lake, through the surrounding forests and fields. Overall a really nice stay!

We were extremely happy with everything this remote cabin could afford us! Arja is the most friendly and responsive host you can imagine — she was flexible with our delayed arrival, she provided us a fishing rod by our request and even gave us freshly baked bread just from the kindness of her heart! If you're looking to unplug and enjoy true peace and quiet, this remote cabin is the perfect escape. It's simple, clean, and has just what you need—nothing more, nothing less. The setting is beautiful and secluded, which made it easy to relax and disconnect. Great spot for anyone wanting to slow down and enjoy nature without distractions. It’s a true Finnish mökki: no fuzz, just the perfect getaway from city noise and to reconnect with nature.

We were a group of friends stayed there for 2 nights. The surrounding and location is wonderful. The house has all the necessary equipments and perfect for vacation. If you love calm and quietness in nature, this is what you need. Two downsides you might face is the commode flush doesn’t refill fast enough. Also, you need to drive approx 10km to throw the trashes(better to carry big garbage bag). Maybe the municipality doesn't permit having trash bins nearby as the place is so into nature. Very nice place in a fantastic location, absolutely quiet right on the lake! Easy and very friendly check-in (despite late arrival at 9 PM) with personal reception by the host's father. There was everything necessary for a cozy and relaxing vacation by the lake (rowboat and SUP, outdoor kitchen, terrace, sauna, hot pot, etc.). The Wi-Fi also works perfectly. We spent 12 wonderful vacation days and can fully recommend the accommodation and the host.

We had great weather and even when it stormed the location is so peaceful and beautiful we enjoyed that too. The place is not updated or designer trendy but we liked the laid back feel of everything. It was July but everywhere was remarkably empty. We only saw a few other people and a couple of boats on the lake through the whole week. Puumala has everything you need. Also, check out the rock paintings nearby - they are fascinating and in wonderful locations.

The cottage was in a really beautiful location. You could be alone in the yard. The sauna had soft and warm steam, clean water in Lake Saimaa to swim. Lovely place. Thanks Fairytale!

We had a holiday like in a fairy tale, with lots of snow, in a super cosy, clean and warm mökki, skiing over the frozen lake, and dipping into an ice hole after Heikkis legendary savu sauna. We also tried his delicious potato bread and spent altogether 14 sunny and peacefull days in Hugos huvila. At a certain moment I had a health issue and Heikki was kind and helpful, so it did not spoil the beauty of everything.
