We really enjoyed having the two separate sides of the cottage, and the overall space was awesome for us. It was nice to have both indoor and outdoor seating. We had a fantastic stay at this wonderful cottage! The space was clean, cozy, and incredibly well-organized, with a kitchen that was impressively well-stocked with everything we needed. The location was absolutely perfect for exploring Houghton Lake, Higgins Lake, and the surrounding area—close to everything, yet peaceful and relaxing. Nicole and Matthew were extremely responsive and helpful, making everything smooth and stress-free. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

We secured a cabin with Whitetail Family Resort on short notice due to family circumstances. The booking was swift and simple with quick responses from Tom and his crew. The cabin was very accommodating, especially for having two dogs. Good pricing for a nice scenic view of Houghton Lake North Bay. It was a clean cabin and was more spacious than the pictures show. We added another day at ease with a discounted price. I recommend these cabins to anyone else with a family and dogs.

My family, friends, and I enjoyed staying at Tim’s property once again. Tim is easy to reach if needed for anything, and was a great host. The property is well located and beautiful! Walking distance to dine out, or just a few minutes drive to get groceries, while still feeling tucked away. We hope to stay again next summer.

The Lookout is situated perfectly on Houghton Lake. You’re able to enjoy both the sunrises and the sunsets. Host was quickly communicative, and very helpful. Highly recommend!

This is our second visit to Heidi and John's and it was just as great as we remembered. The perfect little place right on the lake to relax, listen to the waves and watch the sunset. The massive game, CD and DVD collection are great and make it impossible to have a boring rainy day. I have no doubt we'll be back to visit again in the future!

We really enjoyed our stay. The hosts were easy to communicate with and responded quickly. It was the getaway that our first responder families needed. It was a cozy cabin with everything we needed to feel at home. We plan on booking again in the future.

This is my second stay at this property and we loved every minute just like the first time! Kim and Brian respond to any inquiries we have very promptly. They are extremely helpful and friendly. You’ll love this place. Boat rentals are close by and not on the expensive side like many others I’ve seen.

We loved the home. Lots of space for our family. Beautiful right on the lake. Jennifer was a great host very responsive. We loved that we could use the kayaks and Lilly pad. Had a great time. We will be going back. 😊🥰

Melissa did a nice job and everything was as presented. She provides good communication and instructions were right on. We were golfing at Forest Dunes so the location was perfect. Local restaurants and pizzeria nearby as well as a nice grill for steaks. The place suited our needs perfectly.

The cottage was immaculately clean, with plenty of amenities that made us feel right at home. Excellent communication by the hosts again made us feel very welcome. Highly recommended, and we'll be back in the summer for sure!

Great home to host our work girls trip. We had a relaxing weekend with the wood fireplace and watched movies. Boyne is about an hour away so it was a beautiful scenic drive. Beds are super comfortable with lots of space. Kitchen well equipped with everything needed.

The cottage was everything we needed for a weekend getaway in northern Michigan. We were grateful for the clean space, easy access to the lake, and grilling/bonfire space in the backyard. Higgins Lake is a beautiful place and we definitely recommend Adam and Madalyn’s place.

Stayed here for one night , close to lots of trails for our dirt bike and side by side, bedding was clean and comfortable , had ac unit in master bedroom which was great and in living area ( during our stay it was 93 degrees outside ) . Fire pit was stacked with wood so we were easily able to make a fire , driveway was BIG so we were able to pull our truck and trailer in. Also had a decent size yard and about a 2 minute walk from the lake. Would stay here again
