Chalet vacation rentals in River Tamar

The host, Julie, was really helpful and responsive to our messages. Beautiful surroundings and the views from the chalet were incredible. We were visiting old friends and neighbours and it was an excellent base. The walk down into Shaldon along the golf course was convenient and stunning but be prepared for the walk back up!! The chalet had everything we needed and was really nicely decorated with comfy sofas and beds. Wish we were there longer and would love to go back.

Our time at Joanne’s place was perfect. There were lots to do with the kids. The chalet was very clean and had everything we needed. Thankyou so much.

The view was fantastic, and the garden was sheltered; you could sit in the sun. The coastal path runs just behind it, so you can walk, but the vegetation hardly lets you know when people are coming. The pub within walking distance had great food, so if you don't want to go out for a day there are great options nearby. All in all, definitely worth repeating!

My partner and I loved it THAT much, we are STILL there! We requested to extend our stay and despite having to move some bookings around, Alan and Lynne managed to make it possible for us! I had 3 nights of blissful sleep thanks to their fabulous pillows and now I get 3 more! 😁

What a beautiful place, so peaceful and the lodge was so cute. Ian met us on arrival and showed us around and told us all the info we needed, he also gave us freshly baked scones which was such a lovely touch. Just outside the lodge there was so much space for our daughter's to play and ride around on some bikes borrowed from the farm. The location was ideal and not too far from a town or a day on the beach. We will definitely be returning as we've had the most lovely holiday and actually feel we relaxed being in such a quiet, picturesque spot.

The accommodation was spotlessly clean and spacious. Alison responded to messages within minutes. She was extremely flexible with arrival times and made sure everything was to our expectations. The location was perfect with my son working at the Orangery and being close to the ferry to Plymouth. Close proximity to the beach, great walks with our dogs. Thank you Alison xx

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this forest chalet. The location is incredibly serene—nestled among trees with a stunning view of the sea, it truly felt like a peaceful escape from the stress of everyday life. The chalet itself was cozy, clean, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed. It’s the perfect place to relax, read, or take quiet walks in nature. The host was also very responsive and welcoming, making the whole experience smooth and comfortable from start to finish. Really good and peaceful stay at Phil&Sue’s place. Used it as a comfortable base for the weekend stay while doing a course on the water and worked very well. It felt cosy and homely, everything was very clean and well presented and is clearly a loved property. Easy parking and on bus route into Dartmouth which was very useful with supermarkets 2minutes drive. We would recommend it and use it again. Thank you.

We had a wonderful stay. The area is lovely and it was very peaceful - just the calming sound of the waves nearby. With 3 beautiful beaches, each with their own character, within a few minutes' walk, it was so easy to explore without necessarily travelling much. We really enjoyed staying in the chalet - it had everything we needed and our holiday was a joy.

Our first time using Airbnb and Maggie made it very easy. Lovely little chalet with beautiful views. Maggie was responsive to messages and all her instructions were very clear. We had a great week and my young children loved it. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

Everything was perfect. This is a beautiful place. The views are outstanding. We were very comfortable here and had everything we wanted. The bed was so comfy, plenty of hot water, tv, WiFi and phone reception was perfect. We would like to return. Thank you Heather

Chalet is clean, welcoming and in a great place with wonderful views. Chalet is well equipped for catering and comfortable for relaxing. This is the 2nd time we have stayed at Nick’s chalet and we look forward to visiting again next year

This was our first trip as a family of three and Eszter’s place was just what we were looking for! It had everything we needed, with a beautiful view and wonderful walks. Highly recommend it!

Wow! What an amazing place this is - it’s even more beautiful than the pictures! Jo and David are wonderful hosts, David even met us at the car park and helped up carry our bags down to the property. Great communication from Jo before we arrived with really clear instructions, super flexible with arrival time. We had the most wonderful weekend and will absolutely be back, can’t fault it, absolutely no negatives.
