4 Bedroom, 3 Bath Duplex at El Vado - Sleeps 12

We absolutely loved our stay at the mountain lodge! The views were breathtaking, and the cozy cabin had everything needed for a perfect getaway. The host was incredibly accommodating, and the decor was charming yet modern. We enjoyed hiking trails right from the doorstep and cooking s'mores outside in the fire pit. The Chama Cumbres & Toltec Railway is only about 20 minutes away. I highly recommend this gem for anyone seeking tranquility and nature's beauty. However, it's worth noting the stove top could use an upgrade and Wi-Fi access was only available in the restaurant. Also, bring drinking water, as the house's groundwater is undrinkable and has a slight odor. Despite these VERY MINOR points, we highly recommend this gem for its tranquility and natural beauty. We can't wait to return in the Fall!

Lake Abiquiu Pedernal Retreat!

KeithRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This home is in a lovely relatively secluded location with stunning views. There was nearby access to the lake, and a canoe and kayak, the former of which we had fun using. (Of note, it's a fairly long and somewhat steep walk down to the water, so you essentially need a pickup truck to take the canoe down to the launch site). We took advantage of having a fireplace in both the bedroom and living room, which was lovely. There's also a fire pit, which is great. There's some kindling and firewood supplied, but it's probably good to bring some of your own, just in case supplies are low. Salina's responsiveness to our needs was amazing. When we had a problem with the hut tub, she showed up the next day with a technician to get it fixed right away. She was simply great on every level. Overall we enjoyed our stay, felt very well taken care of, and reveled in the amazing views and setting.

Casa Lobo - Wild Relaxation

KimberlyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Lobo! My spouse and I were immediately charmed by how cute and cozy the space is—it struck the perfect balance between stylish and comfortable. Everything was thoughtfully provisioned, from the well-equipped kitchen to the little details that made us feel truly at home. The views from the property were nothing short of spectacular. We were treated to breathtaking sunsets every evening, with the mountains glowing in the background—truly unforgettable. The location offered a sense of peaceful seclusion, yet it was just a short drive into town and other Taos highlights. We would return in a heartbeat and can’t recommend Casa Lobo highly enough for anyone looking for a peaceful, beautiful, and well-appointed retreat near Taos.
A well-lit bedroom features a spacious bed adorned with vibrant orange pillows and a colorful blanket. Tall, golden curtains frame a window, allowing natural light to fill the room. A cozy seating area includes a classic leather chair and a wooden ladder bookshelf.

Private Room in Chama next to Rabbit Peak

EldinRating, 5 stars8 months ago
The space is a beautiful guest suite in the owners' house, but there is no separate kitchen. We needed a place to sleep and prepare for the next day, so it worked out great for us. Access to the property required navigating through 2 closed gates on a dirt road, which is very common in northern New Mexico. We found the setting almost idyllic, but there were no food or shopping options within walking distance. In fact, the location is about 8 or 10 miles from the heart of Chama, which is already in a remote part of New Mexico. The house, however, is a very beautiful, recently completed home, with some surrounding acreage on which a few goats graze, along with a wild cottontail or two. It wonderfully met our needs.

This place was absolutely lovely! Peaceful and removed from the bustle of Taos, but still close enough nearby that it's easy to access. The interior design is gorgeous and there are so many spots in the house to read and relax. Would definitely come back!

Casa Nido - Views in every direction!

AudreyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a lovely stay at the beautiful and comfortable Casa Nido. The house is kind of like a mini museum, filled with all sorts of art and books to look at. We didn't have enough time to look through everything! We really appreciated all the amenities ranging from quality shampoo/conditioner/body wash to a kitchen stocked with appliances and cooking supplies. We enjoyed the privateness and scenery of the location, and soaking in the hot tub under the stars! Our hosts were very communicative and detailed about check-in/out, house rules and local shops and attractions. We also loved our gift basket! We felt very welcomed and taken care of. Thank you, Taos Love!
