This unique place has a style all its own. Recently updated, the Blue Maiden was built in 1880 as a home to the servants who worked in the mansions prevalent in Farrington's Grove. She is 1.4 miles from downtown and ISU campus, between two hospitals, and convenient to St. Mary of the Woods College, IVY Tech and Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. She is close to I-70, one block from US 41, and maintains many of her original Victorian charms. She is less than 5 miles from the new casino!

This house more than meets expectations, the property is absolutely beautiful. There were 14 of us between two families, and no one was ever bored. Between the lake, the pool, the back yard, and the house itself, there was so much to do. There is a ton of seating inside and out, plenty of room in the kitchen for cooking, a huge and comfy sectional and chairs in the living room where we played a ton of games. Beds were comfy, bathrooms were plentiful and well maintained. The star of the show is the lake and the backyard, beautiful views and lovely landscaping made it an oasis in which to relax or fish or play lawn games. And when we had an incident where we broke something pretty important, the owner was amazingly calm and understanding, and just jumped into action to take care of it. I highly recommend this place, it was truly a wonderful weekend with our family friends and I would definitely return.

This was perfect for our family trip with two toddlers. The house was clean, well-kept, and within good distance from the places we needed to go. The host provided a lovely guestbook with tips on where to go. The bedrooms are the only private spaces in the house, as the kitchen, living room, and dining area are all one big area—which was fine for us, as it was all about family time. If we return, we will definitely book with Cheyenne again.

We fished a tournament at Raccoon Lake. It was close and convenient. Had a good place to park the truck and boat. House was really clean and a nice place. Easy to find everything.
