We had an amazing time at Geir’s family home! This was an incredible place to spend the new year and we would absolutely return! The location is perfect. We were able to walk outside the city lights a short distance to get an amazing view of the northern lights. A designated lookout is also a short car ride away. Plus, downtown Reykjavík is a short car or bus ride away! It could also be a good walk for those who like to hike.

Maria's home is outstanding. We absolutely loved the time we spent here. Maria and her family were very welcoming and offered recommendations when asked. We enjoyed our evenings watching the horses and chickens play and we got to meet Maria's dogs, they are super friendly. The home is located close to Reykjavik (about 15 minutes) but we could see the city from our location. It is quiet and peaceful and right on the ocean. We did several day trips (Vik, Vestmannaeyjabær, Þingvellir National Park, Kirkjufell) and felt this was the perfect home base. When we come back to Iceland we will 100% stay here again! Thank you for your great hospitality and life lessons while we explored your beautiful country! Our most breathtaking day was driving up to Snæfellsjökull Peninsula/National Park. Your providing a car with the airbnb was so appreciated- as was the pickup from the airport and the stop to see your "friend". Thanks for making us feel at home while traveling abroad.

We had a wonderful time staying here for our first visit to Iceland! The flat was much larger than we expected and the views were beautiful. We were able to walk to the grocery store just a block away. We would love to visit Iceland again!

Bryndis and her family were wonderful hosts the place was close to some restaurants and the water. It is located in a peaceful section of Reykjavik and a great home base for activities around the capital. It is clean, spacious and the hosts were very responsive.

This home was beautiful and in the perfect location. The deck was a great place to sit out on with everyone after our long days of hiking and sightseeing. It included everything we needed to have a comfortable and smooth stay. Could not recommend this house more!!

1) Elin’s house is perfect to stay in because of its artistic deco, fully equipped kitchen, stunning ocean view, easy access to a large lawn in the back, and perfect layout for us, a family of four. 2) It’s also at an excellent location: walking distance for a stroll by the ocean, a bite to eat at local bakery or grocery store. Less than 10 minutes drive to downtown Reykjavik for more restaurant options. And a convenient base for our day trips as well. 3) It’s spotless clean which we greatly appreciated. Such a wonderfully cozy place in a great location! We loved being able to see the Northern Lights from the hot tub after a long day of exploring on the Golden Circle. House was super easy to get to - close to everything, but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. We were able to beat the traffic and walk to catch multiple sunsets at the Grotta Lighthouse. Host's directions were super detailed for any and everything one would need to know and they were very responsive when we did have additional questions.

The environment is very good, the house is very cozy, everything is very complete, the communication with the host is particularly smooth, I will come again next time

For a family of 4 it was a perfect spot for a few days. We also loved the local swimming pool.

I had a lovely stay at Anna’s apartment in Keflavík. The space was cozy, clean, and had a warm, welcoming feel. The beds were exceptionally comfortable—so much so that I ended up visiting Rúmfatalagerinn to buy the same comforters and duvet covers for myself! Thanks again, Anna, for being such a great host.

Great stay located in a central location near Reykjavik, Keflavík and blue lagoon. Theres a lot of room and also a playground nearby if you have small children

Great stay. Very clean, spacious unit. Quiet, residential area that is still close to city attractions and waterfront biking / walking trails. Would definitely stay again.

This is a spectacular and large apartment in a beautiful residential neighborhood. The views alone are enough to recommend it, but the overall place was spacious, clean, and comfortable for our family group of 4 adults and 2 teens. I would definitely recommend a car. The neighborhood is safe and walkable, but at least 20 minutes on foot to most things, and the wind was very cold at night. We did not try the bus, but all neighbors in the area were driving and we were very happy we had booked a car. With a car, it was super easy to get around Reykjavik and leave the city for day trips. On street parking by the apartment was easy to find and free. My mom asked me to leave a note that this is not a rental, but a home, so there are lots of personal items throughout the house and limited spaces to unpack. She also warns against people who might not be aware that it is a walk up unit. My teens loved the very affectionate cat, who made it feel like home.

We stayed for two nights and had a wonderful experience. On the first day, we had some issues with the hot water, but Halldor was extremely responsive and had the problem resolved right away. The apartment was spotless, beautifully designed, and fully equipped with everything we needed to cook our meals. It made for a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. We would highly recommend this place to others.

This is a very lovely home, in a convenient area, perfect for a family. Jón was always kind, responsive, and helpful. We loved staying here and look forward to staying in this home again next summer!
