This "farmhouse" style cottage is typical of homestead homes in the area. This is a modest historic home that began as a school house. Kadoka is a safe, quiet ranching community on the edge of the Badlands and I90. You will be 20 miles from the entrance to the Badlands National Park, 35 miles from Wall drug and 90 Miles from the Black Hills & Rapid City. This is a small community ( pop700 ). Late in the day or weekends can be very sleepy, limited amenities, but no traffic! Safe for solo.

Cozy and private with all the comforts of home and a lovely elevated covered porch for enjoying the rolling prairie views. The large bathroom is equipped with a jetted tub/shower offering plenty of room for a relaxing soak after a day of exploring. Wasta is a small friendly village which is situated off the Interstate 90, easy access to Wall (10 minutes east) with the gate to the Badlands just 20 minutes away.

We also have several animals on our property including horses, dogs, cats and wildlife such as antelope. This is Josh and Christie's basement studio apartment. There is a separate entrance that you have to yourself. We are just a 5-min walk from downtown, so you can easily walk to dinner, tour downtown, and check out Rapid City. Sitting high above Mt Rushmore Road, light from 3 windows makes you feel above ground. Our back patio is nice for relaxing, and our location is convenient. The kitchen is furnished with everything you need to prepare a home cooked meal. The microwave is air fryer/microwave. Enjoy your evening/morning sitting on the covered porch with your favorite beverage.
