Driftwood Cottage

JoanneRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Lovely cottage with uninterrupted view of the sea. Very private and very quiet with just rabbits, birds and delightful Shetland ponies as your neighbours. Extremely convenient for the airport and an excellent base for touring the southern part of the mainland and the fantastic birdwatching on offer in the area. The Croft House Museum is well worth a visit, as is Hillswick Wildlife Sanctuary a little further away - home to Smudge, the Grey Seal who will steal your heart.
A bright living area features a red sofa adorned with colorful cushions. A circular mirror hangs above a stone fireplace, which is complemented by decorative items. Natural light filters through wooden blinds, highlighting the light wood flooring and creating an inviting ambiance.

Nurses Cottage, Burra

We loved our stay here. Shetland is absolutely stunning and Bridge End is a lovely corner of it. The place had everything you needed and had great central heating that was easy to use which was really helpful.

Beautiful 3 bedroom Scandi style holiday home

PhilipRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
An excellent place to stay, well located for mainland attractions and walks. Great views from kitchen and lounge. Very well equipped, comfortable beds, warm house too. Able to cook proper meals as there was plenty of fridge and freezer space and cupboards space. Very useful to have use of washing machine, tumble drier and dishwasher. Heather is a very responsive and caring host who was quick to inform us about heating issues and to provide alternative, effective, sources to heat the rooms. The welcome pack was much appreciated. Thank you for helping to make our visit to mainland Shetland so memorable. Philip, Susan and Rosemary

An exterior view of a glamping pod that features a sleek, modern design. The pod is set against a backdrop of gently rolling hills. A utility building with a washing machine is positioned to the right, alongside a green waste bin. The entrance has a glass door, providing a glimpse of inside.

Starview by Mirrie Mora

AnnabelRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Starview was a truly magical place to stay. Beautifully situated with stunning views, extremely clean and very well equipped. I attended on my own for the midsummer weekend to spend the longest day of the year on the most northerly part of the UK to enjoy the Simmer Dim skies and see as many of Shetland's lighthouses as I could get to in three days. Seeing Muckle Flugga whilst surrounded by puffins, on the day of the Summer Solstice, realised a spiritual ambition of mine since I was a teenager :-) I hope to come back to Shetland again soon, this time with my husband and son in tow. Magical - thank you Elsa x

A wooden shelf unit stands in the corner, displaying a selection of books and brochures about Shetland. A white wicker basket sits beneath, likely containing additional materials for guests. The natural wood provides a rustic touch to the modern interior.

Luxury 2 bedroom converted kirk

AndrewRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The house is newly renovated (formerly a small church), and is now a very well-equipped and spacious two bedroom, with very good bathroom and very good insulation. The main rooms have great views over a bay where seals with their pups basked every low tide. It is in a quiet area without local facilities, but is just a 10 minute drive from Lerwick with its supermarkets, restaurants etc. There is also easy access to Sumburgh Head lighthouse (puffins etc), and to Jarlshof, St. Ninian's Isle, the Mousa boat, and other adventures. On arrival we had initial slight worry in that the house is semi-detached (to another Airbnb) and is quite close to the main road, but we heard absolutely no noise from the neighbours, while the main road proved to be sunk below view from the house so did not affect the scenic shoreline views. We can highly recommend this property. Visitors to Shetland in the colder months would greatly benefit from its good location and insulation.

Da Peerie Hoose

MadeleineRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Julie was a pleasure to deal with. From the start she responded promptly and warmly and was the reason I chose that property. The cottage itself is warm and cosy and perfectly placed for walking along the coast - and in easy reach of Scalloway, Lerwick and the main road round the mainland. Not too much room for outdoor gear, or suitcases in the bedroom, but, as I say, very cosy! Would definitely use again.

Beachside, spacious, centrally located house

DianeRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We were going to Shetland for a family birthday and Carole helped with recommendations in advance for getting a cake organised which was excellent. Ina's cakes and bakes was fantastic House was brilliant well equipped lots of space and walking distance from a small beautiful beach. Views out across the bay were stunning Ample parking for multiple cars. Carole was easy to contact and quick to respond when i had a question. House is fairly central for exploring the islands and Carole's directions were spot on and made perfect sense. We had a really enjoyable week.
A wooden coffee table with a unique barrel design is positioned at the center of a living room. Two cushioned sofas with patterned cushions are shown in the background. Natural light streams in from large windows, enhancing the space's inviting atmosphere.
