Apartment vacation rentals in Puerto Carrillo

We had such a pleasant time here. This was our second stop after our destination wedding at an all inclusive. This was the perfect place for us to relax into. The pool-gorgeous & perfect temp. Location- walkable and only like 6 min walk to beach. Room/cleanliness- great we were pleased when we walked in. Clean, cool and the bed was super comfy. Erika was an amazing host for us! We loved her. Didn’t use the house keeping as we were only there a few days but did use the laundry service. $20 a load washed dried and folded. Worth it to us.

Unbelievable stay! This place is spectacular! Our apartment was so spacious and had everything we needed - well stocked kitchen. Bed was very comfortable and air conditioning worked well to help with a good night sleep. Vincent and Millie were so nice - excellent hosts. There was daily housekeeping too! Wonderful breakfast that you could purchase if you wanted. The hotel pools were great and the hotel grounds were so well maintained at this intimate boutique-type hotel. Location was perfect - short walk to the beach, which is the most beautiful beach. Really good restaurants so close by and small mini marts for groceries and liquor purchases. Can’t say enough good things about Vincent, Millie, the apartment, the hotel, the beach and the town of Carrillo. Highly recommend and we will definitely return!

Besides the clear instructions, easy access to the apartment, spotless amenities and utensils, and the quiet, peaceful environment within walking distance to beaches and supermarkets, the hosts were helpful and responsive during an emergency we had at night. They provided assistance and guidance when we needed it most.

Very clean accommodation with beautiful pool. Finding the place was difficult and unfortunately despite sending a message I didn't get any response. We finally saw a gentleman in the place that appeared to us to be Casa Abundia and phew it was the case, Javier welcomed us. I don't think we were expected… but after that everything went really well! I suggest specifying how to get there.

We had a wonderful stay. The accommodation was lovely and very well equipped for a comfortable stay. We loved the balcony and the beautiful trees and plants surrounding the pool. The swinging chair was a real treat for me. The host was very helpful and responsive to our needs. Everything we needed to be comfortable was provided. It was great having a washer and dryer on site.

Had a good stay at Lucas' place. Its a cosy, simple apartment that has everything you need, away from the noise of the centre but walking distance to the centre avenue and the beach. There is a good gym nearby that offer weekly and daily passes (if that's your thing). There's also supermarkets nearby if you need to stock up. Lucas himself is super friendly and always responsive. From the moment I booked his place, to the moment I left. He also owns a surf shop, which I recommend checking out. I went kayaking and surfed for the first time ever! Which was tough, but good fun. Overall it was a great stay and I'd happily do it again. Pura Vida 🤙🏼

I had the most incredible stay in Sámara, and this was primarily thanks to the host, Balto. He always checked in with me to make recommendations, and looked out for my safety as a female solo traveler. The property Balto and Marisela have created is a jungle oasis, private and filled with friendly cats, dogs, and occasionally howler monkeys! Even better, the house is located just a few minutes walk from the beach and main street. If you're afraid of mosquitoes, it is best to bring a bug net for your bed because they do get in. There's no AC but the fans work well to keep you cool at night. One night I was kept up by the howler monkeys above, but honestly, this elevated the Costa Rican experience! I stayed in the one-bedroom attached to Balto's house, which worked very well as a solo traveler but I wouldn't recommend it for couples looking for privacy. He has other rooms on the property that would be better suited for couples! I hope to go back to stay with Balto, I highly recommend!!

This was a great apartment to stay in on our trip to Playa Grande. It was easy to walk to the beach, local restaurants and a mini-market. We appreciated that there was a digital lock so we didn't have to keep track of a key. The kitchen had everything needed to cook a nice meal. we enjoyed the pool almost everyday, it's perfect to take a quick dip and cool off after the day's adventures. We would gladly stay here again.

A fantastic place with a very friendly host ready to make you feel like home. Very clean and all as in the pictures. Will be happy to come back if I’m ever in Coco again.

Loved our stay. Very private. Felt safe and secure. Great home with everything you need for a great stay and to feel at home. Shower had hot water and the water is filtered and wonderful to drink. The hosts were friendly and helpful. The home was clean and comfortable. The pool was great to cool off in the afternoons and the outdoor shower was lovely too. Sunrise cafe and la Luna in town are walkable and delicious. Easy walk to the beach. You need a 4x4 to navigate the roads everywhere in Costa Rica.

We had an amazing stay and would absolutely come back! Highly recommended! Location was perfect, we walked to Playa Pelada and Playa Guiones almost everyday, there’s also great restaurants within walking distance. Tuk Tuks also available if you are at Guiones in the evening and don’t want to walk the beach back. The place itself was even more beautiful and stunning than the photos. Kitchen had everything we needed and more. Beds were comfortable and lots of seating inside and outside. Pool was lovely and we used it everyday, neighbors are very friendly! Douglas and Lee were quick to respond and gave excellent recommendations before and during our stay! :)

Very happy to have chosen this place to spend my vacation!! An incredible view😍, the apartment is very nice and well-equipped. Definitely the perfect place if you want to rest and relax. Very good service from Federico, he always answered my questions quickly and kindly. Will definitely be coming back!!

Perfect spot for my me and my two boys during a fantastic week in beautiful Sámara. I don’t think the pics quite do this modern ohana justice- super cool layout and very lush and private surroundings.The compound in this stellar neighborhood is very quiet and friendly, walking distance everywhere, very grateful to have stayed here for our little holiday . Slept like a champ every night, woke up with a coffee on the patio to all the natural glory of Sámara. Salt water pool is sweet, too. A lot of aloha in this abode, safe and secure for your little ones, we had a blast. Gracias Juan Carlos for your hospitality, we hope to come through again.

We stayed in 12 places across Costa Rica and this is by far the most beautiful, well thought-out place we have stayed in. You can tell that the owners wanted to make a good investment with comfort and pleasure for the guests in mind. Many other ‘luxury’ stays we went to, cut corners on materials and quality but this was just in an other universe. Many thanks Sophia!

Karene's place is absolutely amazing. The space was clean and spacious, very private and peaceful. One great experience I had: I was sitting by the pool and in the forest I got to see a bunch of howler monkeys in the trees. Karene's place is about a 20 minute walk to the center of town, I used the electric scooters which make it much easier to get around. The beach is also very close. Overall it's a great place to stay if you're visiting Tamarindo.

This was a very nice luxury condo near Playa Junquilall. The property has 24 hour security and is very well maintained. There are shops and restaurants within close distance but they do tend do close earlier as this is a small town. Our host Chiara was awesome. She was flexible in meeting us as we arrived late and provided much information about the local area. The unit has all the amenities you would expect, including gear for the beach. This is a great property for a family with kids, highly recommend.

The place is very close to beautiful beaches, no unnecessary noise, accommodation as advertised on the page, clean, well equipped, very good service from Andrés for all the concerns we had, the facilities are very clean and safe. I would definitely come back in the future. It is advisable to have a high vehicle for these rainy dates, to be able to move within the area, since the entrance street is unpaved

We absolutely loved our time at Mariposa cottage. The terrace view was amazing and we enjoyed the visitors we had while enjoying our morning coffee. Iguanas, birds, squirrels, and the sound of howler monkeys and cicadas. The cottage has tons of character and artistic flair and the outdoor shower was fantastic! Peter was a great host. Highly recommend Mariposa if you’re looking for something unique with a fabulous view of the ocean in a jungle like setting.

This is really a gem, great location, close from the beach and good restaurants. Good parking slot even for large cars, that is difficult to find. The host was really responsive, giving recommendations about local events, restaurants, etc. The Airbnb was as described in the pictures. I will fully recommend this place.

Just minutes away from the beach, the entire area is very walkable. Thanks for a great place to stay. 👍
