This brand new house sits high above the trees inside the Aldeia Rizoma eco village, a gated property 15 minutes away from the city historical center. The property offers a jungle gym, sauna (paid as an extra), private trails and access to 5 private waterfalls. The one bedroom studio has a king size bed built high so you can watch the forrest from it. It offers a private hot tube and a fully equipped kitchen. Casa do Beija-Flor is located in Saco de Mamanguá (left side), “embraced” by native Atlantic Forest and set back about 300 meters from the resident Caiçara population. Built of masonry and wood, it has two decks with excellent views of the ocean and surrounding mountains. Because it is a preserved forest, it is home to some animal species such as opossums, lizards, squirrels and insects (including many hummingbirds!). The tip is to just observe them and, if necessary, use body repellents.
