Beachfront vacation rentals in Port Howe

We had a great stay here. Lana (the manager) was extremely helpful. She helped get any information we needed and helped us with any obstacles. We rented a car from her and it worked out great. We kiteboarded right out front of the house. We stayed in both units and liked the upper place much better. The view from lower unit blocked by vegetation. We were close to Greenwood beach resort. We took great diving and kiteboard lessons at resort. The managers their are super nice. The place was very peaceful and beach is amazing.

From start to finish, our experience at this beautiful home was exceptional. Communication with both the owner and property manager was outstanding—responsive, helpful, and beyond expectations. The house itself is a hidden gem, a bit off the beaten path, so I highly recommend renting a larger car or small SUV for easy access. I also highly recommend reviewing directions on how to arrive, which are provided ahead of time. But once we arrived, we were greeted by a spotless home that was even better than described. The beach was stunning, and more often than not, we had it entirely to ourselves—a rare and peaceful experience! If you're looking for a quiet, breathtaking retreat, this is the place. We can’t wait to return!

Our third year at The Gate House and each time it feels like coming home! Of all the vacation rentals we’ve experienced world wide, it’s the “best ever!” team of Owner and Caretaker: Stephanie and Harrison. Both people are extremely efficient, responsive, reliable, friendly and kind. The Gate House is very well equipped. The private pool is fantastic. Spectacular view from the expansive front windows and deck. Quiet and peaceful property! Caretaker Harrison is readily available. And by request, for example, he will cook delicious dinners, provide fresh produce from his farm, and suggest visits to local sites. His smile and generous hospitality seem boundless. Harrison is all around wonderful! Owner Stephanie is very responsive and wants to hear from renters of any needs or questions. It is obvious she cares deeply about this magical place. We enjoyed our 4 night stay at Janice’s overlooking the ocean on the south end of Cat Island. The ocean views are excellent, both from the deck and palapa. The beach is quite private. The kitchen was well-supplied for cooking, and Reynold brought us some excellent mahi to prepare.

Our stay here was very peaceful. The location is on the beach with amazing views. The house was clean and very comfortable. The amenities were good and there were lots of small things about the house that made it special, like the outdoor porch with comfortable chairs to enjoy the fresh ocean air, clothes line to dry your swim suits, walking path for passing hermits! We enjoyed mostly the sense of peace and tranquility the house offered. The host was super accommodating, very responsive and helped wherever they can. Overall a great stay! Be sure to have a vehicle and be ready to relax and enjoy the beach views.

A simply beautiful and stunning oasis of peace away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. Beautiful and tranquil space and very friendly and helpful host. Felecia drove us to and from the airport, as well as to and from the local market. It was a serene location that we look forward to visiting in the future!!

We had an incredible stay! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that every detail had been thoughtfully considered. The place was stocked with every amenity you could imagine for beach activities—snorkeling gear, kayaks, fishing supplies—you name it. We snorkeled, kayaked, fished, swam, and explored so many beautiful beaches, and it was amazing to come back to such a comfortable and well-equipped home. The beds were super comfortable, the full kitchen made it easy to cook meals, and there was plenty of drinking water provided. Raj was an outstanding host—quick to respond and incredibly helpful with any questions we had. He also gave us tons of great local recommendations that really enhanced our trip. You can tell a lot of thought was put into making this a perfect experience. Highly recommend!

This was one of the most beautiful houses we’ve ever stayed at, the photos don’t even do it justice. The beach is right in front of the house, and it’s one of the nicest beaches on the island. The house has everything you’d need and feels so well built, especially given the location. Highly recommend!

This is our second visit at White Ocean Coral, and you cannot beat the direct beach location and incredible views from every room! Home is clean, private, and with the amenities you need for a proper vacation. Excellent communication with the caretaker and owner of the home, and if you’ve been to Cat Island, you know how special it is. You can stroll the beach right in front of the house and not see anyone, it’s like your own private piece of paradise. We feel so lucky to have found this home and will be back!

The Point at Cutlass Bay is an absolute dream! I can't wait to return. The house is fantastic, and the views are just incredible, beyond words. We were very comfortable, with all the amenities we needed. We loved the local recommendations, and driving along the one main road of Cat Island to stop at all the beaches. We highly recommend stopping at the Hermitage, and making the trek to Shanna's in the North. As a Bahamian who grew up on Bahamian beaches, this is the most beautiful!
