Wonderful Experience at the Villa Elias! Our stay at the villa was perfect. The sea view was breathtaking, especially during sunset – a true sense of calm, quiet, and complete privacy. Choosing this villa was an excellent decision, especially because of the heated pool, which the kids absolutely loved. They enjoyed both swimming and playing in the spacious garden. The villa is well-equipped, with many useful items that made our stay very comfortable, including an air pump for pool toys. The location is also great – close to shops, supermarkets, and pharmacies. We had a fabulous stay here. The villa is lovely, inside and out, with a well equipped kitchen, including food staples and a variety of different seating areas outside. The pool is great and the beach is virtually on the doorstep, with free sunbeds (if you buy at least a drink from the local taverna). In terms of local amenities, there is a small shop and a couple of tavernas within a few minutes walk, plus a small hotel complex, where you can also eat and visit their bar. There are 2 larger supermarkets within a couple of kilometres, for which you would either need a car or taxi, however the hosts were kind enough to ferry us there and back, when we first arrived, which was so helpful. Chania Old Town is beautiful and we travelled there on a couple of occasions by taxi (28E) in the evening, but you can also take a bus which stops near to the villa. Finally, the hosts, Eleni and Thrasyvoulos were lovely, regularly checking in without being intrusive. Highly recommended.

We booked the villa for a week and were more than satisfied. Perfect communication, easy check-in. The villa has a magnificent location, the house has plenty of space and everything you need. The pool was also very nice. I would especially like to highlight the great service and hospitality of the hosts. Great restaurant recommendations and accessibility. All in all, a great vacation and worth a recommendation.

Beautiful villa in a great location. If your are stunned by the pictures, you sure will be stunned by the villa itself - it is simply a gem. It lies at the top of a hill overlooking Kissamos. If you don’t mind a short, steep walk, you can even reach the town (and a supermarket) per foot. If there is anything to criticize then it is the kitchen equipment - a few more big bowls for salad etc would be great. Ioannis is a great host, super friendly and helpful. We are definitely coming back.

Absolutely amazing stay! The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and even better than the photos – they truly don’t do it justice. Everything we needed was provided, and the little touches made it feel like home. The location was perfect – quiet, convenient, and close to everything we wanted to explore. Our host was incredibly responsive, kind, and thoughtful, making check-in a breeze and the whole stay stress-free. We would 100% stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and memorable getaway!

We spent 9 days in this wonderful accommodation. It was just a dream. Surrounded by a small holiday home park. From the location in this park, the house was just perfect. The property is very private and the arrangement of the pool and the loungers also offer maximum privacy. In the house itself you will find everything you need. Only the equipment in the kitchen (dishes, cutlery and cookware) could use an upgrade. Although it is available in sufficient quantity, unfortunately it is of poor quality. Knives and forks are partly already quite bent due to the low material thickness. But this is also the only point of criticism. The pool in the accommodation is simply wonderful. It is also as stated purely for private use and is cleaned every morning. A piece of luxury to cool off whenever you want. We enjoyed the time very much and would like to thank Stamatis for the great communication.

The villa was pretty extraordinary overall. We've stayed in villas on a number of Greek islands over the last 12 years and this was the best on most counts. The interior was comfortable and spacious, really light and airy. There were only two of us, but I doubt it would be crowded with 6. A huge amount of kitchen equipment (you name it, the kitchen had it), all appliances seemed nearly new and of great quality. Showers with good supplies of hot water and strong pressure. The outside is fantastic - the pool is huge and the perfect depth throughout (maybe not ok for young children, with no shallow end). Plenty of comfortable seats and sun loungers, umbrellas for shade. The jacuzzi is a great bonus and is really high quality. Huge grounds and some lovely flowers. All windows have shutters so bedrooms could be made very dark overnight. We weren't interrupted at all through the week but whenever we had a question we received a rapid response. I can't think of anything negative to say!

The villa was as beautiful as in the photos, it was very relaxing to hang around the pool occasionally taking a refreshing dip in the pool. It was also very handy that we could visit Gorgona Beach bar whenever we wanted with free access to sun beds and enjoy good service for eating breakfast, lunch or dinner. Also the location of the villa is perfect, there are lots of restaurants within 200 meters, but it’s still located in peaceful area. Special mention goes also to the wonderful host Alex, who was very friendly and extremely responsive. All our queries were answered within minutes.

This place is a treasure. The views from the living room and kitchen are spectacular. The house has many clever features that are well designed. The area around Almyrida is fun to explore--go down to the beach or on a hike along the coast. Almyrida is a cute beach town, very welcoming. And we did several further from the town adventures. We had no idea that Crete has so much to offer--pottery in Margarites, beautiful beaches, intense hikes, exceptional museums, exploring Hania's historic streets. The property management team were wonderful to interact with. We felt so fortunate to find such a gem. Thank you!!! We sure hope we can return.

We immediately fell in love with this villa! The quality of absolutely everything in and around the building is extraordinary. The pictures cannot truly capture how beautiful and well-designed this place is. From the tasteful interior decor to the immaculate outdoor areas, every detail has been carefully thought out to provide both comfort and luxury. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable getaway. We can’t wait to return!

A lovely villa - looked exactly like the photos. We were a family of 8 adults and 2 small children and there was room for all of us. Kitchen was big enough with every utensil (and more) you could think of. Our host was there to greet us and was always responsive when needed ( 2 small issues both quickly resolved). A lovely welcome basket of food/drink etc was a nice touch. I would not say a car is essential - its less than 10 mins walk to several lovely restaurants and a nice little beach. However the nearest proper supermarket is 30-40 mins walk although its only a 10 euro taxi back and youll save more than that as the local shop (2 mins down the hill) is only really any good for fresh bread and emergency supplies! The outside/pool area in villa was roomy and the inside hot tub/sauna were well used. My only advice would be to have some sun loungers on the terrace outside main bedroom as that did seem wasted space although lovely views of the mountains and the sea. We would stay again.

This is a 10/10 Villa. We have travelled a lot and this is by far the best Villa we have stayed in. We were a family of 9 (5 adults and 4 children aged 2, 4, 9 and 11). The views are stunning, the pool is big, all the rooms have private bathroom. Jacuzzi is also perfect for when the sun goes down! Theo was a wonderful host helping us, giving good recommendations and suprising as with some nice gestures. This Villa really is a Gem as the name suggests. As for the surroundings - it is 100% private! For me the best part was that there is a nice local village to walk to every night. There are some amazing Tavernas/Restaurants with delicious food and reasonable prices (also a mini-market). There is also a nice beach with a good restaurant and a nice cozy beach bar - it is only a 10 minute walk from the villa. And if you rent a car then it is a 10 minute ride to the Rethymnon old town, which is also a very nice place with lots of shops and restaurants. The Villa was worth every euro!

Thank you again to Giorgos and Maria for hosting us. A very big Sahara sandstorm disrupted everything on the day of our arrival. Our hosts did their best and even the impossible to clean everything and allow us to enjoy the villa in the best conditions. The villa is beautiful. Everything is planned so that we can relax and make the most of it. Full of good intentions, products available allow you to feel comfortable as soon as you arrive. We loved the home and recommend it to families that want a nice pool and a great parking. We drove around doing day trips and coming home to this Airbnb was always wonderful. Great bedrooms, showers were nice, and the kids loved the pool. Highly highly recommended.

We cannot have asked for a better place to stay in Chania. The house is a gorgeous villa perfect for a large family vacation. The location is on a breathtaking hill overlooking the city and old Harbor. There are tons of windows letting in natural light. You can be an old town in eight minutes by car or about 45 minutes walking. There are plenty of local mini markets and restaurants nearby. Michalis was a model host, and gave us plenty of recommendations for day trips, restaurants, treats, activities, and gave us very kind gifts throughout our stay. If we ever return to Crete, we will be staying here again!

Beautifully constructed and well appointed home in a very peaceful area! Beds are so comfortable compared to other European stays. We traveled to a few different beaches- sandy to rocky- in under an hour. Afrata beach just 5 mins drive or 20min walk. Super relaxing stay!

Firstly, thank you to the hosts for always being responsive and so helpful with everything! The villa was outstanding, such a beautiful property with everything you’d ever need. The location was perfect, just out of the way enough to have peace and quiet but close enough to still get to the shops and restaurants easily enough. Couldn’t recommend this place enough!

Our stay was fantastic - property looks better than it looks in photos, the location is great, and the hosts were extremely helpful. We arrived late (10pm on Friday) and they even offered to call the closest restaurant to pre-order us food as the kitchen closed right at 10. They had a ton of guides to the island which made planning super easy, and the hosts continued to go above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We would absolutely rent from them again! Also, the location is great. It’s an hour from the airport, but still very accessible to many great things. You’re about a 25 minute walk to a nice beach, a 15 minute drive to a supermarket, and a 10 minute walk to a great restaurant. Would recommend!

The Airbnb was fantastic, very modern and spacious with an amazing view. The host was extremely helpful leading up to our stay and also during our stay. One of the best Villa’s I have ever stayed in, the pictures do not do it justice. Highly recommend choosing this for your stay in Greece. Only bad thing is that we had to leave to come back home!

Our stay at HotelPraxis was incredible and Polimnia was the most gracious host I have experienced in my 10 years in Airbnb. She was close by but never intrusive, left snacks, fruits and water in the fridge, dropped eggs off, recommended restaurants and incredibly, made baked goods of some traditional Greek treats that were so delicious. My family was overwhelmed by the beauty and privacy of the Blue Lake Villa. And the home is lovely, fluffy towels, great water pressure, comfortable beds. What a treat! We will definitely return! I highly recommend.

This place is absolutely amazing. My wife and I spent our honeymoon at Aikaterinis apartment and we were completely satisfied. The inside provides everything what we needed. The description was absolutely accurate. The fridge is very spacious and there is a freezer as well. We cooked quite a lot therefore this was very helpful for us. The pool outside is very clean and also the temperature was perfect for the hot days in Greece. You can really relax at this place because there is not a lot of tourism at this area on Crete. Also the beach in front of the house is quite nice. We put our hammock under some trees and were watching the sunrise over Paleochora. I can totally recommend this apartment, especially for couples who want some relaxing time and together.

we stayed for one night in this beautiful villa and couldn’t have asked for better! It was private and peaceful, and check in was super easy! Our lovely hosts were so flexible with check-in and left us some treats for the stay, and then left us to be at home. It was so nice and clean and was so comfortable, we felt Right at home. Loved our stay in this remote villa. Amazing views with sunsets from the pool. Beds were very comfortable with quality linens and towels. Nice having the pool heated! House is remote so bring all the food needed. Rather close to Elifonisi beach which was well worth the 20 minute drive. Driving is not for the faint of heart of heart. Many tavernas in the area within 15 minutes drive. Would stay again. Thank you Theoni!
