Beachfront vacation rentals in Placencia Peninsula

This was a great place to stay for our family reunion, family of 11, with plenty of room for everyone. The golf cart, pool, paddle boards, and kayaks were put to great use! However, the best part of the house is the staff. Orlando, the chef, was amazing. Not only was his food delicious, but his company was even better. He was professional and kind. In addition, Carlos and Melanie, who take care of the property inside and out, made us feel at home. Carlos raked the beach, cleaned the pool, and Melanie kept the house spotless. We are very grateful for their professionalism and hard work! They made the trip for us :). One thing to note: two of the three upstairs showers did take a bit to warm up, and I would (for a big family) recommend renting a car as you cannot fit everyone on the golf cart. The property is peaceful and relaxing! We had a great week! Thank you!

We cannot say enough about our stay at Island Time on Placencia Caye. The staff were fantastic. Our Captain Jose, fabulous meals from our Chef Brytni, and the impeccable Housekeeper Lucy. They became family to us. We miss our daily visitor “Boots”!

We visited Placencia during Tropical Storm Sara (Nov 2024). As we have never been in a tropical storm (snow blizzards are what we are used to), it was a panic when traveling into one with our 2 children. All we ever want is for them to be safe. Tracy was kind to let us check in a couple hours earlier for peace of mind. Thankfully - the storm hit north of us and the weather improved through out our stay. We love the location - watching and listening to the waves facing the Caribbean, and then having the lagoon on the other side. My kids swam every day in the pool, even when it was pouring rain. Rosa, the caretaker, was extremely friendly and helpful. We would 100% stay here again next time we visit. The use of the kayaks was a great perk. We didn’t use the bikes.

I had an amazing 10 star experience here - the condo had everything I needed for a very comfortable month-long stay. I felt right at home and very safe. SA, the owner, was very proactive with communication and provided so much helpful info (how to get fresh juice and local meat delivered, which days to visit the produce stands, duty free at the airport, etc). Emma and Edwin, the caretakers, are so friendly and are always available to help. Beyond spending your days on the beach, you can book numerous tours to keep you occupied (scuba, snorkel, cave tubing, Mayan ruins, ziplining, etc). I spent a lot of time just chillin' on the beautiful porch watching the gorgeous sunsets with a Belikin in-hand. If you rent a golf cart or bike, you can easily be in the heart of the town in 5-7 minutes with access to wonderful restaurants, markets and shops. I can't wait to come back when SA is also in town because she'd be a very cool person to hang out with!

Nice, quiet little place right on the beach. Easy check in/check out, hotel was very helpful in arranging a taxi to and from the airport for us. No air conditioning, but fans and the sea breeze helped! Would stay here again.

The cabana was perfect. Ocean at your feet. Swam everyday. Beautiful breeze no need for air conditioning. Lived in my hammock. Everything is within walking distance. The caretaker Tracy was fantastic. So helpful, and kind. I would definitely stay again. The people of Belize are so warm.

Great property with many options for multiple families/groups. We had a group of 18 and rented 3 houses, all just steps away from each other. The space has a perfectly small pool, nice deck area, and is so quiet. It was clean and looked exactly like the photos. We did not get daily maid service and every house in our group ran out of necessities (toilet paper). The water from the faucet is drinkable and the toilets can take toilet paper. The showers don't get super hot, but are soothing with hot weather. TV/wifi was easy to navigate and Beth was extremely responsive. The kitchen does not come stocked with any food/spices. Pick up salt,pepper, butter, oil if you intend to cook. I highly recommend you ask for a cook for some meals. A breakfast fed 16 people and was $150 usd (and delicious). Rent a golf cart & pay to have it dropped off and picked up. Lots of fun to be had in this house!

We loved our stay at the Slow Loris. It was the best beach location I've ever found. The first night we were there we walked the short distance to The Flying Pig Restaurant/Bar and met the friendliest group of people who made us feel right at home and gave us great recommendations. Just another perk of staying at the Slow Loris Villa. Would highly recommend and would love to return there someday.

Michelle and Ed are the best hosts! They helped us with anything we needed and made us feel at home. The space is absolutely gorgeous. There were drinks and treats waiting to welcome us after a long day of travel. We enjoyed the pool daily and the view of the ocean can’t be beat. The location is perfect. It’s close enough to walk to stores and restaurants, but just a short drive from everything else. We highly recommend this listing and can’t wait to book it again.

The Freebird House is a perfect tropical vacation dream. Seriously, I cannot exaggerate how wonderful this place was for us. It's like a secluded and peaceful resort that's all your own --- with a pool, a private palapa dock, kayaks, bikes, an outdoor bar, outdoor bathtub, hammocks, and more. The photos don't do it justice! You're on the lagoon, which is preferable to facing the Caribbean because it's protected from the wind and you get the sunsets to the west. You can kayak right from your private pier. To reach the Caribbean, just cross the road behind the house. The house itself is spacious and light and airy and has floor-to-ceiling windows in every room for epic views of the lagoon and the Maya Mountains beyond. The large veranda has tons of space to gather and soak up the breezes and views. The decor is relaxed beach style, but everything is modern, high-quality, and shiny-new. It's a 20-minute drive to Placencia town, but there are also some good restaurants a short walk away.

We absolutely loved stating at The Slow Loris. It was in the perfect location was an amazing view. We were a group of 8 adults and felt so comfortable and at home. On our day of arrival we were met by a concierge for a tour of the home and helpful information. The perfect vacation home we hope to stay in time and time again.

This stay here was perfect. It was better than the pics. I thought that a place with a matching red fridge and microwave was really cool. Sergio our super friendly maintenance man was just spot on. We had a little issue with the septic system and Sergio immediately sprung into action digging up the pipe that the palm roots did their thing to and fixed the problem immediately. Everyone involved with this property was awesome. As well as their recommended services like Marvin from Leo’s car rental, just up the street, was extremely accommodating and helpful. “This was a great stay—spacious, well laid out, and equipped with excellent A/C, a nice shower, and a fully functional kitchen. Although the hosts weren’t on-site, caretakers were available and shared their contact info. The location is just a short drive from Placencia and close to some fantastic restaurants. One thing to note: in Belize, house numbers aren’t commonly used, so directions are usually based on landmarks, which can make finding places a bit tricky.”

The house is wonderful. It has that “wow” factor when you walk in with high beamed ceilings and wall to wall windows highlighting the pool and sea view as your back yard. The house was REALLY clean, and had all we needed for the week - from the stocked kitchen with coffee and filtered water jugs to get us started, dishwasher detergent, a washer and dryer with laundry soap available, and no shortage of towels - much appreciated. The wrap around, covered patio gives both bedrooms access to the back yard. It was so nice having a private beach with plenty of coconut trees for shade. Herbert was great. He provided many suggestions ahead of time as well as in the book at the house. I appreciated the attention to safety as well, something you don’t always see in a rental. The area itself is pretty quiet and Placencia is only a short drive, where you’ll find shops and restaurants. We really enjoyed the week and would highly recommend this place!

It’s a very comfortable little place to stay. Close to everything but far enough away from the centre of town that it is still quiet at night.

Sunrise Turtle beach house was a comfortable, well stocked house that felt like home. Beds were comfortable, the house was clean and had everything we needed. It is right on the beach and within walking distance of multiple resorts for food and pool use. Peaceful and still close enough to Placencia for an outing without having to be in the heart of all its activity 24/7. Zun, from Flowers Vacation Rental, was an extremely responsive and helpful host.

Lovely apartment on the beach. The location was perfect, bars, restaurants, shop & pharmacy close by. It was spacious, clean and tidy. The kitchen is well stocked, the outside areas were comfortable

We had an ac go out and it was REPLACED within a couple of hours!!! Lots of communication and very peaceful!!

We enjoyed our stay at Cool Breeze Cabanas. Will definitely stay there for our next trip back to Placencia. Candice did an extraordinary job meeting our expectations as well as prompt communication. It's a no frills accommodations, but very clean and there is no place closer to the beach than this cabana. If needed, Candice will set up any excursions and meal reservations for you. Definitely recommend.

This was our 8th stay in Placencia. We have always stayed at the same place which we love but it was not avaliable. Trying somewhere new was a little iffy but the Updeh Apartment at Ohana did not disappoint. The inside and outside are beautiful. We truly enjoyed our 10 days and cannot wait to go back. Thank you for everything!

We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home by the sea! If you want to get away to a place to relax, this is a great option. The house is clean, modern, and well-equipped. The beach is out your back door. Lori was super friendly, considerate, and a great communicator. The only heads up I would give is that the doors on the bedrooms and bathrooms are not completely private. Take this into account when traveling with others. Overall, we were very satisfied with this place!

This is handsdown the best place I have ever stayed in in my life! Our experience here we will treasure forever. Not only is it stunning and so intimate especially in the evenings when the day guest have left, the staff are the kindest people and very attentive. We had the absolute pleasure of meeting and spending time with King Lewey and Queen Kathy and they also made sure our experience was truly unforgettable. This tiny and beautiful island has so many fun activities to do and the food and drinks are 10 out of 10. I couldn't recommend staying here more if I tried!
