Donald is the best host I have ever stayed with. After 2 months we became good friends. He is friendly, helpful and cheerful but tactful, non-intrusive and quiet. He will always explain everything and come to an understanding. His wonderful son is unobtrusive, polite and falls asleep early (like a rock!). The room has basic furnishings, you can use the rest of the shared flat on a nice cohabitation basis. Washer and dryer free of charge (!!). The kitchen is well equipped. Lovely garden for relaxation. Lift, nice view from the window, birds singing. The flat is sat near Zurich (25 min by bus from the centre, it's not a big city 😉 ), in a quiet little village. Close to wonderful walks in the forest. Shops within 1 bus stop away. If you match the conditions in the ad, you won't find a better offer. And it's really worth getting to know this man - lots of stories, tons of positive energy, pure kindness. Thank you, Donald!

I had a great stay and highly recommend!

Arrive & feel good!! You have enough space in the place; I didn't feel cramped. You can retreat if you want or spend time outside on the small terrace in the hostess's garden with wonderful views. The kitchen is very clear & sufficiently equipped with the essentials for everyday needs and offers a dining area directly in the same room. The surroundings offer the possibility to walk in the countryside through forest & meadow directly from the front door. I felt very comfortable!!

Staying at Beate’s home was one of the best things that could have happened to me during my move to Switzerland. Her flat was spotless, beautifully decorated, and stocked with absolutely everything I could need — from a wide selection of teas to laundry detergent, crisp fresh bedsheets, and a spacious, squeaky-clean bathroom. Every detail showed care and thoughtfulness. But what made this stay truly unforgettable was Beate herself. She went above and beyond to help me settle into my new life here. Not only was she kind and welcoming, but she also supported me in deeply personal and generous ways regarding the start of my new life in a new country, which is such a kind gesture I will never forget. Thanks to Beate, I was greeted with warmth, generosity, and a true sense of home. I cannot recommend this stay enough.
