Lenore's Room - Mooreland Garden Inn

The Mooreland Garden Inn is steps away from Dickinson College, Penn State Dickinson Law, the Central PA Youth Ballet, and Historic Carlisle. It is the perfect place to stay when taking a school tour or visiting for an event. We are a short drive to the US Army War College, and Carlisle Events Car Shows. Van Gogh’s Bedroom-En Suite Bath

*This bedroom is not recommended for people with difficulty on stairs. Van Gogh’s Bedroom is inspired by his multiple paintings and letters to his brother Theo and fellow impressionist Paul Gauguin of his bedroom in Arles where he spent the last few years of his life. It features a private en suite bath, walk-in closet,and queen sized bed. This suite also offers a fridge, fully stocked coffee station and easy access to microwave and full kitchen at the bottom of the stairs to your room.

The ornamental fireplace, the marbleized slate mantle, 11 foot ceilings with both crown and chair moldings, lend an appropriate period touch to the decor of this dramatic room.

This guest favorite features a king bed and a private sitting area with accent chairs and a TV. Originally the bedroom of the Ewing twins, whose family arrived in Carlisle in 1849, was papered with the present rose design in the 1930's. The wide plank yellow pine floorboards and the original pocket-shutters are small parts of the history that remains. The bathroom includes a 5ft soaking tub, with a Grohe Aquatower multi-jetted shower unit and a marble topped double vanity.

This room is ideally and comfortably located on the first floor at the rear of the inn. It has its own private entrance for convenience. The decorative porcelain vessel sink is set into one of the china cabinets of the 1826 dining room and features the original brick wall of the house.

The first owner of the home in 1826, Andrew Blair, gives his name to this room on the 2nd floor at the rear. It has access both from the main house and directly from the parking area at the rear. The room itself features an ornamental fireplace and a ceiling fan, and is conveniently located near the sitting room. The newly remodeled bathroom incorporates a five-foot wide shower with a seat and a Grohe Aquatower with body-jets.

The Hayes Suite, is located on the 2nd floor at the rear. Hayes has two cozy bedrooms with a connecting door, and a private bathroom with large enclosed shower with corner seat, and European style vanity. The first room features a burl wood four poster queen bed enhanced by elegant bedding and has a work table with Ethernet or wireless connection. The adjacent bedroom features a fluted iron queen bed with cozy bedding.
