Enjoy an exceptional 180° view of the Dordogne while swimming in our infinity pool (open May to October only) or hot tub (available all year). Our property sits on 4 acres of tranquil countryside at the top of the verdant Dordogne valleys. Sit back, have a glass of wine, and watch the hot air balloons paint across the sky at sunrise or sunset. Use our bicycles to explore the locale or BBQ outside and take in the scenery.

Located in Périgord Noir with its castles, archeology, gastronomy. A warm welcome awaits you. In winter, plan for €10/day for heating. In June, July and August, please rent by the week, from Saturday to Saturday

Ideally located in the center of Périgord and all the sites that make it rich, our house, Chez Colette et Mimi, is an outbuilding of one of the most beautiful areas of Périgord, La Chartreuse du Maine. As in the early 18th century, here everything breathes peace, harmony and beauty. It's the perfect place to recharge and radiate as you discover the beautiful Dordogne region. Chez Colette et Mimi is the old barn, built in 1702, which we converted into a luxurious house.

In Carlux, a small village, you will find shops (grocery store and bakery) and leisure activities in the immediate vicinity (canoes, bike path, hikes and swimming along the Dordogne three minutes away). Large shopping malls are 10 minutes away. Pool shared with another gite. Closed from 09/07/2025 to 04/01/2026.

The ground floor consists of the kitchen, dining room, living room, bathroom and a cellar where a washing machine is at your disposal. 1st floor: Two bedrooms equipped with a 160 x 200 bed and storage (wardrobe, closet or dresser) and an office with a double bed and a TV. 2nd floor: A bedroom with a 160 x 200 bed and a bathroom with a bathtub and shower and a TV lounge with a large bed and a desk.

You will enjoy swimming on foot, canoeing, hiking on the banks of the Céou or the Dordogne! Or visit the castles of Castelnaud, Beynac or Milandes; Lascaux caves, Maxange; Marqueyssac gardens, Eyrignac... You can see the balloons, canoes and gabares from the balcony.
