Beautiful tranquil country cottage with private garden boasting spectacular views over the Pentland hills . The cottage is well situated for exploring the area, being just 5 minutes drive from Rosslyn chapel, (which you can also walk to from the cottage by following the path through the glen.)The Pentland hills are only 10 minutes drive, and it takes less than 30 minutes to get to edinburgh city centre. It is a great place to come home to after a day of hillwalking ,working or sight seeing.

Compact, mid-century decor self-contained studio. Our home is in a residential area of the city. NOT in the city centre. Complimentary tea, coffee and simple breakfast food provided. Bus stop beside the house with regular service; one bus, into Princes St in 25-35 mins. We have a small driveway for you to use. We are 2 mins from the by-pass and are 15 min from Airport by taxi. Waters of Leith and Pentlands are close by. The Historic Colinton Village is 10 minutes walk down the hill.

great place in a calm and green neighbourhood. perfect for visiting Edinburgh (40 min bus) from a calm location. place was clean and very comfortable. felt welcoming with some chocolate , tea and coffee ready to use. host responds wel and gives proper and friendly advise. only small remark: the bed is comfortable but a little on the small side for 2 persons.

Really lovely cottage, in a lovely part of the world. We managed to make the most of the facilities in our four days. The grounds and setting are really lovely and give the impression of being really remote, although in reality you are 5 mins from the local town by car. This was a very spacious, comfortable and well equipped place to stay and acted as a really good base for exploring the county. Abbotsford, Peebles and Traquair House were all highlights for us and were handy by road. Recommend The Crown in Biggar for dinner and drinks, and then home to a roaring fire in the log burner. Reasonable access to nearby charge spots if you are EV users like us. Excellent hosts with an excellent property!

Our stay with Rebecca & Jimmy was fab. Jimmy welcomed us at time of check in, we felt right at home. The instructions on how to find the property were accurate and easily followed. Accomodation was great, bedroom large, well equipped with no unnecessary decor or equipment. Shower room was really big, best shower we have had in an Airbnb. Sitting room was a lovely bonus. It to was well equiped and comfortable to sit in. House was always easily accesses. There are animals in the main house, very friendly and quiet. The whole experience warrants a 5 star review. Would definitely stay there again. Thank you Jimmy and Rebecca.

I stayed with Ann for a few days and she never imposed upon me whilst I had breakfast. She always wished me good morning and we often chatted following my meal. I was most surprised to find that there was not objection to me finding my way round her kitchen although I only accessed the cutlery drawer. Ann was a good welcoming friendly host.

If you’re wanting a peaceful and cosy place that’s close to Edinburgh, Shannon’s place is perfect! I had such a pleasant stay, everything was spotless and I had everything I needed. There are also plenty of shops nearby if you do need anything for your stay. The hosts were super responsive and were there if I ever needed anything. The location is great with a local bus that runs into Edinburgh rather than paying for parking. I’d definitely recommend!

A great location with lots to do in the immediate area, and very accessible to Edinburgh and beyond. The Airbnb itself was clean, nicely decorated and private. The available amenities are generous and makes you feel right at home. Grant was incredibly responsive and left a lot of great recommendations, local travel and activity information. I would wholly recommend staying here.
