Smoking friendly vacation rentals in Othón P. Blanco

Guillermo and Diana's place is our "go to" place in Chetumal when we want a peaceful accomodation. It's just steps from the bay in a very walkable and safe neighborhood and close to a taxi stand and a Walmart mini mall. The neighborhood is exceptionally friendly and 30 pesos gets you to the heart of Centro and the Muelle Fiscal.

If all you need is the Caribbean just for yourself, Casa del Sol is da place. Tom Hanks movie «  Cast Away » with solar electricity for your mojito’s ice cubes and a very good bed :-)

Very nice place, central, it has everything you might need, maybe what I would change would be the air conditioning, since the one who stays in the bed next to the air does not get any air

We loved staying with Melissa. The place is super private and the pool made us very pleasant afternoons. The service was the best.

Staying with Enna is to feel like you get home 🏡 This is the second time I have stayed with her, and I can only highly recommend her stay, I felt bad, she recommended me where to go she was aware of how she followed. Whenever I return to Chetumal, I hope to stay here 👈

We booked last minute and Vanesa responded immediately. The place is very nice, clean and has got a bigger pool than we expected. The host has great recommendations and also owns a diving school where we did a nice dive. Comes highly recommended!

Adriana's accommodation met all our needs as a small family (two adults and a 7-year-old): clean, quiet, relatively well-equipped kitchen. Even without a vehicle it was perfect. We could reach the lagoon on foot in about twenty minutes or take a taxi (for 30 pesos for example to go to Parque Ecológico). There is a supermarket with a lot of choices right next door or a large grocery store as well as a pharmacy within a 3-minute walk. In short, if you are looking for a quiet place to stay on a budget with family or friends, this place is perfect!

Peaceful and relaxing place. Each bedroom was a mini-studio: private bathroom, mini-fridge, electric kettle/coffee maker, desk, & patio kitchenette. Friendly & responsive host.

Between after the check-in time and the owner was very attentive to welcome us, she showed us the house, gave us all the details, she is a very kind and attentive person. Definitely a very nice treat. The last day the light went out in the colony (it was not a fault of the place, if it does not fail in the city) and it was attentive to us. The house looks better in person than in pictures, very beautiful.

Comfortable and spacious. Good location, close to the sea The garage is a little small but everything is fine for a small car

The space is wonderful. We felt very comfortable. You spend a lot of time in the fresh air. Unfortunately, the photos were a little older and now some roofs have been added, which is why we had little sun. Still highly recommended. Next door is a small supermarket with good prices and lots of choice.

Martin and his wife are very friendly. The dogs in the house are a worship. The beach is a wonder there are fish on the shore you can swim and enjoy the wonderful sand the kayak are very much enjoyed. We highly recommend visiting the house.

A great place for groups to hang out.

Mariana’s place is a perfect accommodation for Bacalar. To be lagoon side and have a gorgeous property to enjoy is an experience my family will remember forever. The house was clean, orderly, and had all that we needed to enjoy cooking at home and enjoy our leisure time. I hope this magical spot stays just as wonderful and beautiful for our next visit. Super nice airbnb with an hammock that made my days… The bath is pretty small but clean and the kitchen it’s more for warming up pre cooked food then for cooking. But all is working well and Astrid is a very nice host! I’ll come back for sure 😊🌞

Leonel and Brenda are wonderful hosts, from day one they were very attentive to us and gave us very helpful directions. They were flexible with check-in time and helped us with a couple of additional requests, all quickly and kindly. Their place is just as described in the listing, if not better! The place was spotless and you can tell that they are committed to taking care of the details to make you feel comfortable and safe during your stay. The area where the place is located may seem a little far from the center at first. But the next day, once you get used to walking around the area, you realize that the location is an advantage because it allows you to get to know Bacalar better and on the way there are very good options for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The proximity to the pier is a plus. It is definitely a highly recommended place and we will return to it when we are in Bacalar!

I really enjoyed my stay! Great location close to the laguna. Excellent balcony and beautiful property to enjoy your coffee in the morning. Clean, bright, comfortable room. Astrid was quick to respond and professional host. Wifi is slow, but that is unfortunately a reality throughout the country. I would stay again if returning to Bacalar. Muchas gracias!

I had a great experience here. The owners are responsive, friendly, and all around good people. The neighbors are friendly and respectful. If you want to visit Bacalar, stay here! Tips: - there is a great little carnitas place nearby. Look for the red shack. - the Airbnb is located very close to a convenience store named Autobeer. You’ll find snacks and beer. - there is market 10 mins walking from the location
