Built around 1780 as a smoking house, the farmhouse is protected under historic preservation and has been lovingly maintained. You will stay in our cozy apartment with a terrace to the south side and views of our garden. Hidden country house on the edge of the forest - Baltic Sea

Here is a romantic retreat for those in need of peace and nature in the middle of the most beautiful landscape. The thatched cottage, built in the middle of the 19th century, it was owned by the Duke of Oldenburg until 25 years ago and is located on the edge of the Holstein Switzerland Nature Park on an idyllic property, surrounded by forest and a meadow. Neighbors are neither heard nor seen. The eastern boundary of the garden is bordered by a babbling brook. A play paradise for children.

You will feel comfortable in this historic rear cottage from 1648. Clay walls and wooden floors breathe stories and history. On 120 square meters, you don't have to do without modern amenities. From the heart of Holstein with rolling hills, forests and meadows, you are 15-20 minutes away from the Baltic Sea/Scharbeutz or one of the numerous swimming lakes. Eutin or Bad Segeberg with the Karl May Festival are not far away. Lübeck's fantastic old town can be reached in 25 minutes.

The sunny, light-flooded apartment "Scheunendiele" is located in a converted half-timbered barn with its own garden and sun terrace. Spacious 60 square meters, living room with open, fully equipped kitchen, offer space for 2-4 people. The dining area equipped for up to 4 people is next to the living area with a couch and armchairs and an additional reading corner by the fireplace. The two bedrooms are located on the upper floor, overlooking the beautiful garden.

Around Rüting there are many attractive excursion destinations whether active or passive such as beach, cycling and hiking trails, HansaPark, climbing park, zoo, various Museums, wellness and adventure pools and much more

If you like, you can barbecue directly on your own lake or go paddling with the SUP or paddle boat you brought with you. Our private lake has no “paddleable” connection to other lakes. A “Fire TV Stick” is available to log in with your own Netflix & Co account.
