Midways, Stunning Retreat in the Heart of Bowness

DavidRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We did a lot of different activities in the Lake district but the house was the highlight of our trip, we’d have been happy just to spend the whole time in the house. The house has been designed to get the most out of the views and the decor is amazing too, it is really clean and feels brand new. I’d say it is definitely worth paying a bit more to stay here over anywhere else in the local area, and we will be returning at some point in the future, we miss the house already. Also Team Laik and the owners are all fantastic, communicate well and make everything easy, so if you haven’t used Airbnb before I’d go with these, you can use the messaging system on the app and get a response almost straight away should you have any questions.

Gorgeous Kippford Home With Outstanding Views

IanRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We've been visiting Kippford for many years. This was a really nice caravan in a great location with gorgeous views. The only thing to be aware of is the approach track. It's one of the trickiest parking spots we've encountered in that holiday park, down a steep slope with a bend. Either a fair bit of manouevering to get turned round and reverse down the slope, or drive down and a fair bit of manouevering to turn round to drive up and out. apart from that, all was very good. We certainly enjoyed our stay.
A charming white house sits beside the river, reflecting the warm colors of the sunset across the water. The scene captures soft clouds above and a marina in the distance. The shoreline reveals a mixture of sand and mud, enhancing the coastal atmosphere.

TheLivInGallery 2 bedroom house Artist's Town

GavinRating, 5 stars3 days ago
We loved our stay and Jessica was friendly and very helpful. The house was lovely although access to the second bedroom via the master bedroom might not be ideal for everyone. Jessica was thoughtful (even a pint of milk for us on arrival which was wonderful) and helpful and we would love to come back. We felt right at home.

1 bedroom, self catering suite with own entrance

TeresaRating, 5 stars13 months ago
There is such a long list of good things here. Start with the view, not many bedrooms offer full height glass door view of the sea to wake up to. Our hosts were gracious and attentive, and gave us many local tips. The kitchen is small but effective and everything was spotless. Breakfast a journey of delights each day; the roaming mower a silent entertainment. We were visiting for Spring Fling art fair, and this proved a perfect base. We will have to return to explore the surrounding coast and countryside. Everything was perfect. Thank you Elizabeth and Brendan.

The Thrums

Great house with amazing views over the coast. The house is very clean and tidy, and has all the cooking equipment required for self catering. There is also an lovely garden with outdoor furniture. Auchencairn is a nice village with excellent coastal and hill walks, as well as a very useful shop/cafe.

Roseneath Cottage

What a lovely, idyllic cottage in a quiet village, at the foot of beautiful hills. Elizabeth was very friendly and fast to respond to any queries I had. We had a slight issue in the bathroom and Elizabeth was over and had it repaired in less than 30 minutes of reporting it. If you like gardens, it may be small, but this cottage has an absolutely beautiful one, if only it had been a bit warmer I would have been out in it every spare minute I was there, also it is just round the corner to Threave Gardens. I would happily stay here again when visiting family locally. Thank you Elizabeth.

Borrowdale Cottage - Luxury with Gorgeous views

LauraRating, 5 stars5 days ago
Booked to stay in this lovely cottage for 4 nights for a birthday trip with family and my dog, the views from the house were breathtaking surrounded by mountains, wildlife and farm animals and the cottage itself was so spacious yet perfectly cosy at the same time. There were lovely walking trails all around with some great recommendations from our host of places to sightsee and eat and drink (we highly recommend the toasties from the Flock In tea room!). All in all a great time was had and we would definitely return.
