Vacation rentals with a kayak in Ohio River

Very clean home! We were a short drive away from Patti’s (went 2 times during stay.) Enjoyed a short drive to see the buffalo and elk. Finished our trip with a boat rental saw more bald eagles than we could count. My mother who uses a walker and father who recently had a knee replacement were able to get in and out of the house with the side door (no stairs). Kitchen is well appointed. I cooked several meals. Lots of deer to watch from the back porch. Very quiet location. You won’t be disappointed.

Meghan's place is splendid! It is secluded, relaxing, bright, and welcoming. If you want a peaceful and restorative retreat, this place will offer you all this and more! Look no further! Meghan is very responsive and has made our stay a memorable one! The lake is a gem, and the view is fantastic! I wish we had stayed longer! Krista was always kind, responded almost instantly to questions, provided canoes and kayaks for lovely paddle into the wilderness and shared her most lovable and friendly cat.. Toby who was always ready to greet and love upon us 😊

The house is in a beautiful location and has everything you need for a nice relaxing vacation! The lake was so peaceful and the kayaks were nice to go out for a little stroll. We really enjoyed watching the wildlife. But the best part of this house is the POOL!! It is a very large, clean and well kept pool. Our stay it was in the 90s everyday and we spent most of our time outside. My extended family live in the area and this was a great place for us to spend the weekend visiting with them. What a lovely place to stay. This is a wonderful place to come and enjoy the natural surroundings. The place has everything we needed. We enjoyed the porch swings and the lake right out back. The ramp made it much more accessible for my father, who uses a walker. Although we stayed for a night on a cross country trip, we would absolutely make this a destination in the future.

We had a wonderful time! Lots of room for everyone and a beautiful location. No one wanted to leave!

The Bandy House was perfect for my family and I. The property was beautiful and well maintained. The host Lisa was very accommodating and responsive. We had a wonderful time and plan to stay with them again.

We enjoyed our stay so much. The cottage is bigger than the pictures show, and was so quiet. Everything i needed to make a few meals was there, and we all enjoyed the deck, dock, kayaks, swimming, and fishing. Very relaxing!

Our stay at The CliffTop Cottage was very enjoyable. It is very clean, well furnished and cozy, with thoughtful touches throughout. The surrounding area is beautiful and it was very peaceful. We plan to stay there again when we are in the area.

Tonya was an amazing host! Anything we needed was a message away. We had kids plus extended famy and were all comfortable. The house offers everything you need to stay at the lake. We rented a dbl decker pontoon boat from Pandora Marina. Drive to Marina only took about 7-10 mins. We loved that there was a Dollar General Market right around there too! All n all our stay was exactly what we wanted/needed. Id definitely stay here again in the future!

This cabin is absolutely gorgeous, the perfect getaway for a small family and easily entertaining for kids. At no fault of the owners, I wouldn't recommend for kids under 3, just because there isn't much independently for them to do and bodies of water very close by. But for older kids or a couple, this was the perfect, quiet, beautiful place for a break from the business that normally surrounds us. And if you go, look at the stars in the night. You'll likely have never seen them like this before. Would recommend over and over again. Thanks for sharing with us and letting us make memories here!

This was a beautiful location, the home was very comfortable. The host was very polite and responsive. I would recommend staying here to anyone looking for a peaceful stay in a cabin on a river.

Absolute perfect stay! Host even showed concern for us during stormy weather. The location is ideal - private, away from hustle and bustle yet still not far from food and essentials. Beds were very comfortable and the home had all the amenities you need for a successful airbnb stay. Will definitely stay again!

This was our 4th time staying at Kristen's lake house. We attend the Moccasin Creek Music Festival at Lake Sara each year and for us Kristen's lake house is the perfect place to stay for the festival. The lake house is always super clean and in perfect shape when we arrive. Firewood for the firepit out back is provided for free and they have kayaks there too. Lake Sara is a wonderful place to stay, a beautiful lake with a public beach, a disc golf course, a regular golf course, an amazing brand new public playground right by the beach and Pinky's restaurant that is right on the lake.

We loved our time here! The cabin is beautiful, and very nicely furnished. Greg and Judy were incredibly proactive and responsive, making sure everything was going well. So many nice touches, and our whole family greatly enjoyed our time there. We would most definitely stay here again if/when we are back in the area. Thanks Greg and Judy!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here immensely. We booked this cottage for Father's Day weekend and couldn't have asked for a more peaceful and relaxing space. James was very accommodating and responsive. He even provided us with fire starting material late Friday evening. We enjoyed our nights by the fire while listening to all of the different insects and animals. If coming back to the area we will definitely rebook here.

My wife and I took our daughters , their boyfriends, and our dogs for a long weekend / short family vacation. We had so much fun. Communication from our host was excellent. The location was so pretty and totally private. The scenery was beautiful and the house was really cute and fun. It was probably the best stocked air Bnb we have been to as well. If you want a fun family getaway or a romantic weekend etc we highly recommend the Owl's Nest. We will be back. 👍

Had the perfect weekend getaway! Beautiful house, the peacefulness was the best part. Friendly neighbors and we loved Sissy (the neighborhood dog). Our pup had such a great time as well. Loved the area also, great BBQ and hiked trails nearby.

My friends and I had a girls trip here last weekend and had SO much fun! It was perfect for us since both beds are in the same room. It was all set up with lights, AC, hot tub and everything when we got there. We didn’t follow the directions given to find the place and simply put it into google maps, which brought us to the terrifying abandoned cabin up the hill, so make sure to follow the directions that Barb provided when trying to get there!

We found this Lake Paradise cabin to be the perfect place to celebrate our 56th anniversary! Upscale, exceptionally clean, well furnished, quiet, comfortable, splendid nature viewing, especially views from the deck, robust wildlife, particularly the herons and turkey vultures. Loved the knotty pine! Idyllic location. We hope to be able to stay again.

My family loved it here!! It was a beautiful, clean cabin. There was a cooker on the front porch available for use. The kids loved cooking s’mores on the camp fire, playing with fireflies outside at night & playing on the two person arcade game upstairs :) We plan on seeing if it’s available next year when we come to visit.

Beautiful, secluded, peaceful place to unwind with the family!! The six of us had plenty of space to hangout inside and out. House was clean. Fishing was fine for the younger kids -lots of bluegill, a few bullheads & smaller bass. No cell service but WiFi worked really well.
