Heaven

CharlieRating, 5 stars6 months ago
We had a great time at this lovely secluded home. The living area was really spacious and the kitchen was amazing and well equipped for cooking and serving a diverse range of meals - an entertainers delight. We will certainly look to rebooking in the future. Dawn even found a little bunny that one of the girls left behind and kindly got it safely home.

Spacious and Private – Your Home Away from Home!

SallyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Was the perfect location for us to explore the area, including the forgotten highway. We were impressed how good the heating options were, x2 efficient heat pumps and great log burner, with heat transfer into the bedrooms, plenty of wood available. It was easy to feel at home as lots of personal touches throughout. We were a multi-generational family of 6 but could imagine x2 families would work well with the space. We self catered and kitchen was well set up to do this.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jodie’s place for a special family reunion. It fit all 11 of us easily and didn’t feel cramped. It was tidy and clean, and when we accidentally locked ourselves out at one point we were able to call and get back in within minutes! We all talked about coming back one day, as we enjoyed the space so much. Thanks Jodie.

Stunning view of Mount Ruapehu as you drive to Ohakune! Great region to explore or rest for the night! Kate has a guestbook with everything you need to know about her place, recommendations of where to eat, and what to explore in the area. We needed a night’s rest before driving to Auckland all the way from Wellington, and I’m glad we chose her place. 5 stars!

Cozy 2 bedroom house with spa. Spent a night with my visiting in-laws and it fit us (family of 6 and 2 dogs) comfortably. Spa was a nice add after we spent the day out and about. Peaceful community and walking/biking distance to the lake. Stephanie was very communicative throughout the check-in & check-out process.

Ohakune Oasis (with the epic view)

MariaRating, 5 stars2 days ago
We were so lucky to be able to spend Matariki here at this beautiful home. It was the perfect place to be on a winter holiday, so nice and warm inside, with a great sized spa outside to combat freezing temperatures. The layout is ideal for families or a friends getaway, the bedrooms are warm with easy access to both bathrooms, private with beautiful views. The beds are extremely comfortable. The lounge layout is great for hanging out on the couches, or at the counter while someone is cooking with a rustic table - perfect for sharing group meals. The range of books and games is great for indoor entertainment. As is self-described and affirmed by other guests, this place has a perfect blend of rustic design with modern appliances and is extremely comfortable. My highlight was probably that I could bring my two dogs, they were happy as to explore the gated area on the property and right at home inside too. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend for a holiday getaway!!

We had a great stay at Michael's cute cottage, a home away from home. It had everything we needed and nice extra touches like wine, milk and coffee left for us. We enjoyed the log fire, wood fired hot tub and cosy nights in with trivial pursuit. Michael was great to communicate with and was really helpful when we left an item behind. Thanks again Michael
