The house where the farmer used to live with his family has been converted into a comfortable apartment with a spacious living room and open kitchen downstairs, overlooking the meadows and the park of Wanswert. The apartment is in personal style and fully furnished. Where possible, we used second chance furniture. Together with the piano and comfortable wood-burning stove, a nice living climate is created. The apartment has its own private garden all around, its own front door and lots of privacy.

Welcome to our old farmhouse, part of which has been transformed into an atmospheric B&B. Particularly decorated with lots of art on the wall and a well-stocked bookcase. Our cozy B&B located on the Spanjaardslaan. One of the most beautiful streets of Leeuwarden. In three minutes you walk through the Prinsentuin to the center of the historic city of Leeuwarden. The guest house is located behind the house from 1906 and has a private entrance, a living room, kitchen and 2 bedrooms. The guesthouse is completely self-sufficient. Due to the combination with the cozy living room and kitchen, the guest house is ideal for a family or group of four friends.

Leeuwarden is 'by far' the prettiest city of the Netherlands! And it's only a 3 minutes walk to the city center. This 100 year old, cute house is located in the peaceful and quiet Vossenparkwijk. The 2 city parks Prinsentuin and Vossenpark are around the corner and you can almost see the famous Tower of the Oldenhove from the garden. Relax in the backyard with a cup of tea or go out for dinner in one of the very good restaurants in the city! Enjoy!

We enjoyed our stay at the windmill while we were visiting Friesland. The location worked great for trips into Leeuwarden along with surrounding areas. The e-bikes were one of our highlights of this stay - we did a ride through Leeuwarden out to Deinum and Boksum which was amazing. Would recommend staying here as a solo or couple traveller.

Idyllic cottage by the river

We immediately felt at home in Simone's beautiful cottage. It is stylish and rustic, but with a brand new small bathroom and functional kitchen, where nothing was missing. The WiFi works perfectly and the workplace overlooks the river. Since we had fantastic weather, we alternately used the terrace overlooking the river or the enchanted seating area in the garden and went swimming directly from the terrace in the evening, when the river is closed to shipping traffic. Simply wonderful! For excursions in the surrounding area, there is a perfect network of bike paths that is signposted directly at the bridge. Since we didn't have our own bikes with us, it was great that some belong to the house. Simone and Henk's tips were great - definitely visit the old mill - and they were available for questions at any time. We were sad to leave and would be happy to come back!

Treeske welcomed us warmly, everything was very uncomplicated and easy. The property has everything you need. It is clean and cozy. Plenty of towels and cleaning supplies are also available. A hidden gem in Friesland

We booked this stay as a gift for my parents. The cottage is cozy, clean and fully furnished. Everything you need is present – from fine lighting to good blackout curtains and a lovely bed. The bathroom was fresh and comfortable, with a nice shower and plenty of towels. The garden is spacious and quiet, with a cozy seating area. Inside there are fun games, which is a nice alternative to a TV. The kitchen is compact, but practical with, among other things, an air fryer and stove. The only downside: there was no freezer compartment. The contact with Anita was excellent. She is very friendly, welcomes you warmly and had decorated the cottage extra nicely for the occasion. She also gave nice tips about the area. The location is quiet, yet close to Dokkum and Leeuwarden. Parking was also easy. All in all, a very successful stay.

The spacious bedroom features exposed brick walls and a soft color palette. A comfortable bed with plush bedding is centered in the room, accompanied by a sitting area with elegant chairs. Natural light filters through a large window, complemented by soft drapes.
