High Tipalt is a three bedroom, all en-suite, cottage set on the farm of Scotchcoulthard just four miles north of Hadrian's Wall within the Northumberland National Park. There is a welcoming wood-burning stove, acres of land to roam on and a games room. Dogs are very welcome at no extra charge and no restriction on number. Scotchcoulthard is quite remote and ideal to get away from all the stresses of life - no broadband and restricted mobile signal, though 4G can be obtained in a few places!

Very nice gentleman, we chatted a lot during the stay. Some guests say he has many stuff in his house, but it’s just the reality of living in someone else’s home, try to look from a different perspective. It’s very cozy for me and quiet, good price and lots of restaurants in the area. I really enjoyed my time there, as a solo female traveler, I also felt very safe

Came into town from London for a 40th and found this place perfect for a large, extended family travelling together. Great location, easy to find with simple check-in and check-out process! Very clean, with basic amenities, with lots of shops around for any need that may arise. Host was very communicative and quickly responsive to any questions! We would have benefitted from having two sets of keys for a group of our size, but the lockbox system by front door did work well enough - just be aware you need the keys inside the house to lock the door, so if some of your group stay out later the people at home will need to let them in.

We had an enjoyable stay at Paul's place that had everything we needed & was very clean. The house is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac only a 10 minute walk from the main high street & harbour area with a choice of good restaurants (The Fish Shack, The Old Boathouse & Jaspers to name a few) Morwick Dairy for THE best ice cream ever is only an 8 minute drive away too! Great to have a secure garden for our dogs and enjoyed sitting in the sun traps outside the dining room door in the morning & on the decking in the afternoon. Plenty of nice walks from the house. Really good value for money....particularly if you are a group of 6.

Joanne is a very warm and welcoming lady and nothing was too much trouble. The whole house is absolutely immaculate and pristine. My room was lovely and the bathroom was gleaming. I would highly recommend the location to anyone travelling to the North East and will certainly use this beautiful place again! It’s a 11/10 from me!!!!!
