Guesthouse vacation rentals in Northern Cape

This is an attractive, comfortable room with a well equipped kitchenette, good cupboard space, safe, and the bathroom has a good-sized shower. The house is on the edge of the town, secure, and very peaceful. We particularly enjoyed using the pool and staying out of the heat under the shady roofed-area with its table and chairs. Judy and her husband were extremely pleasant and helpful. They recommended the farm stall restaurant a few minutes away and that was a success. We also enjoyed the museum and especially walking the Sevilla San Art Trail with its many marvellous cave paintings. A lovely visit, thank you.

I had a lovely overnight stay at Carters Rest while travelling for business. The 'self serve' breakfast was very convenient & generous. The room was exactly as in the photos. I will gladly recommend Carters Rest

Juliana let me use the stove to cook pasta, so I didn't have to go out for dinner. There also microwave, kettle and bar fridge in the lounge adjacent to the room, so my space was almost like a suite or flatlet. The electric blanket was an unexpected treat. The parking is in the yard and felt safe enough that I left most of my stuff in the car, so it was easy to leave in the morning. Good value, especially as a solo traveller.

The town had its power and water cut when I arrived, and it never came back on by the time I left the next day. Rui did his best by running the generator occasionally and provided bottles of water for my use. In spite of this, I had a decent stay and a good night’s sleep in the comfortable room. Thanks Rui!

Fraserburg is an undescovered gem! our host made sure we enjoyed our stay and was comfortable. I would rent this room permanently if I could have 🤩

We visited Upington on a work trip and had a great stay at Alucarni, located near a variety of restaurants and shops. The room (with air conditioning) was very comfortable and well-maintained, providing a perfect place to relax. Getting to and from the property was a breeze, with clear instructions and easy access. Highly recommend Alucarni for anyone visiting the area!

We recently stayed at Abigail and Mynhardt's place (during January 2025) in Colesberg during our road trip from Pretoria to Port Elizabeth, and it was absolutely perfect for our needs. Traveling with my wife and two kids, we were looking for a comfortable and convenient stopover, and this place exceeded our expectations. The accommodation was clean, spacious, and well-equipped. We especially loved the kitchen and bathroom – both were exceptionally spacious and stocked with all the necessary utensils, appliances, and toiletries. The kitchen made it easy to prepare a quick meal, and the bathroom was immaculate and thoughtfully designed, offering everything we needed after a long day of driving. Mynhardt personally welcomed us and ensured we felt at home right away. The warm hospitality and attention to detail made our stay even more enjoyable. The location was peaceful and safe, allowing us to rest well before continuing our journey.

Deb's place is a newly decorated gem and has two large bedrooms each with its own bathroom and a big sitting room-cum-kitchen. Conveniently located near to the N7 in a quiet neighborhood. Secure parking and the host was very helpful and lives on the same erf.

Beautiful views, great host and comfortable stay. Quiet area, very clean and neat accommodation. Well recomend for any traveler exploring the coast.

We had a tyre issue which delayed our check-in time and we got to the place very late, Susara was very responsive and kind enough to help us in. The place was clean and smelled good. I’d recommend it!

it was a pleasure to stay in Mama's guesthouse. The furniture is very tastefully selected and the beds are super comfortable. The linen was exquisite.

We had such a great stay at Lake Grappa. Unit is very nicely furnished and has everything you would need and only a short drive to the Augrabies Falls. We also enjoyed dinner and drinks at the restaurant which was fantastic. Great atmosphere and stunning view of the sunset over the lake. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Thank you Gerrit!

This was a great stop over to break the CT trip in half. Pet friendly & King size bed!! Very clean & comfy, slept really well & Susara was very quick to respond with her communication. A great stay & would highly recommend 🙏

Absolutely golden! I’d give a 6/5 if there was an option. The property is in a great location and the room is very spacious, comfy and has all the amenities you’d require for a long weekend. Roché is a great guy and a wonderful host. We will definitely be back.
