"The Shepherdess Cottage" is a sweet place to visit. It has view of Cahas Mountain in Franklin County, Virginia. This cottage has 2 bedrooms and a bath. A very large kitchen open to great room. The house used to be a one room school house in early 1900's. It sits on one acre of land and has a rural surrounding. When we purchased it, it was completely gutted with all new construction as of 2018.

Great one bedroom patio apartment for a weekend getaway! The lake is absolutely beautiful and the apartment is very private, comfy, and quiet. A perfect getaway for kayaking or swimming. A SHARED DAY DOCK WITH NEIGHBORS. No boat slip nor electricity at dock. No tie-up at dock for boats or jet skis, just kayaks. Owner needs to be notified of pet and follow pet policy. There is a $25 pet fee.
