Vacation rentals with a fireplace in North Sea Canal

This house is absolutely amazing. If you’re looking for a peaceful stay in the woods in a beautiful home then this is place. The house had everything we needed and more. A short drive into the town which had great restaurants and grocery stores. Only a 30 minute drive into Amsterdam. Would absolutely stay here again!

We felt just like home. It’s just a short bus drive out of Amsterdam, some cute little cafes nearby and its own little private space. Loved being there, perfect for a weekend trip!

Jaap’s home was very comfortable, well designed and decorated and in a peaceful, pretty setting in Bussum. Jaap was extremely helpful, very proactive and gave us advice and assistance. He is friendly and hospitable and helped to make our stay enjoyable. The travel into Amsterdam was straightforward by train and a 15 minute walk from the home. We would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to stay outside the city in a relaxed neighbourhood.

We felt completely comfortable! Aartjes' warm manner started our vacation before arrival – especially the fresh flowers to welcome us were a wonderful gesture. The apartment is very tastefully furnished, well equipped and furnished with high-quality materials – you can immediately tell that it was designed with a lot of love for detail. The garden room with fireplace and the private garden invite you to relax, our dog was also warmly welcomed and felt visibly comfortable. There are beautiful places to discover in the area, lots of nature and great excursion options – perfect for relaxation and variety. The accommodation is very private and offers plenty of space even in bad weather. Shopping and an organic shop are quickly accessible by car. We highly recommend this beautiful apartment – and would be happy to come back!

Absolutely wonderful house in an idyllic setting just short bus ride from Amsterdam. The photos don't do the house justice it is gorgeous . The kitchen is amazing and all the rooms beautifully decorated. The house has a very steep spiral staircase. Karel was a very kind and attentive host. We'd love to come back, stay longer and explore further afield.

We had a very relaxing 5 nights. Kees and Karen were impeccable hosts, laidback and always helpful. We didn't come by car, but it's easy to get into Utrecht either by bus or tram. Would definitely book again.

Had a great stay in Haarlem. Joost was a great host. He was very responsible. Leaving great recommendations and clear directions for everything. Very helpful.

A great and clean house in a quiet area. With 8 people, we were fine with the rooms and bathrooms. Pool was to our satisfaction!

Michiel and Marjolein are wonderful hosts. Their beautiful property is truly idyllic. The living space is very comfortable and intelligently planned - as guests, we felt very much at home. It was a joy in the mornings to wake early and hear the birdsong (so many varieties!) and sit with coffee by the beautiful pond overlooked by a majestic willow and wildflowers. The property is so private and very conveniently situated. We were really inspired by the gardens and are already planning our next visit! It’s very good and charming place to stay

We had an amazing stay at Sharine and Keon’s place! The house was spotless, cozy, and perfectly equipped with everything we needed. It’s located in a beautiful and peaceful neighborhood, with easy access to everything Amsterdam has to offer. Sharine and Keon were fantastic hosts—very responsive, thoughtful, and welcoming. Their home had a warm, personal touch that made us feel comfortable and at home right away. It was the perfect space for our family, and our little one especially enjoyed it. The place was just fantastic – clean, stylishly furnished and with a breathtaking view! A real highlight of our stay. Even better, however, was our host Julie: incredibly helpful, warm and always available. No question was too much for her, and her answers always came lightning fast. We loved our stay at Charlotte’s place! The apartment was clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The location was perfect for our stay in Alkmaar as everything was within walking distance. Taking care of O’Malley was also a fun addition to our trip. He was very friendly but respected our space. All in all, we really enjoyed staying at Charlotte’s and would love to visit again in the future :)

Nanda’s place is very spacious and comfortable, with lovely large windows and all the facilities you would need. The apartment is on the first floor (no lift!) with the hosts’ living area on the ground floor and bedrooms on the second floor. Easy 5 minute walk to buses, just 3 stops to Central Utrecht. Nanda was very welcoming and easy to communicate with. Recommended!

Great accommodation with everything you need! We felt very comfortable and everything was explained to us well upon arrival. We felt very comfortable.

Lovely holiday with family and friends, Daphne’s home gave us peace while we weren’t off sightseeing or biking!

The property is located 20 mins from Schiphol Airport, in a quiet gated community. The house was neat and clean and located beside a water canal. The kitchen and cutlery were well stocked. The furniture was comfortable. Plenty of towels provided. Easy to get to the city and to the other attractions. As stated in the description there is no washer / dryer. Bedrooms are located on the floor above the ground floor, the stairs are a bit steep. Nevertheless we enjoyed our stay. The hosts were very responsive, friendly and courteous. Upon request we were given a late checkout which was very helpful and very kind of the host. Indeed a superhost! Would love to come back someday!

We had a very memorable weekend celebrating my son’s birthday. It works very well for a large group (we were 9). We were very lucky with the weather so used the kayaks and bikes. The hosts were both very friendly and we immediately felt relaxed and at home. Everything you need is there. An extra drinks fridge was very useful. We loved the different areas to eat or relax. The pool was a great temperature for a hot day. The bedrooms were very warm as it was 28-30C during the day, air conditioning would have been great. The towels were very small but there were a lot of them. We would love to come back!

For a two-day work trip, we stayed again in this beautiful villa; our second time here. The villa is spacious, clean and stylishly decorated, and at the same time radiates a warm and homely feeling. Everything we needed was present: from comfortable beds to a fully equipped kitchen. Again a top stay. Highly recommended, and we'd love to come back!

If we could give 10 stars we would! I almost don't want people to find out about this beautiful gem, haha! We travel frequently all over the world with our three young children and my parents, so seven of us total and I would say this was one of the best vacations we've had. Marjolein and Jan were incredible hosts, with so much knowledge and helpful tips about the area. The home is stunning and comfortable. The location in Heiloo is central to day trips in and around North Holland. With the train station a 10 minute walk, you can access so much and then return to a peaceful home with beautiful gardens and space for the kids to play. Heiloo itself was a highlight for us, very easy to bike around as seven tourists with two young children on their own bikes, and every person we interacted with was warm and welcoming. Marjolein and Jan went above and beyond to make our holiday even better and are the best hosts of any airbnb/ rental we've stayed at! We can't wait to come back.

Insanely great house with super nice hosts. Joke and Peter always help with quick answers and give good tips. There are tips for activities, also to be found directly in the house. The house is a real dream and you feel right at home. We love staying here and have come here once a year so far.

Incredible location and a beautiful, well-appointed home. It was absolutely perfect for our family. We especially loved the proximity to Overveen and the train. We hope to visit again!
