This is a wonderful little log cabin in the woods. We had a very fun stay with our cats. Highly recommended and the host Grady is very friendly and responsive. He makes great coffee and is very sweet to our kitten. We would love to go back whenever we are in the area next time.

The cabin is very cute great location. right by Kenosha harbor. They have great amenities, shampoo, snacks. we got to enjoy our favorite restaurant Carl's pizza. ♥️

Very cool remote and off grid cabin. If you're looking for a true Ozark experience, don't hesitate, beautiful surroundings and wildlife, deers everywhere, great fire pit, awesome trails to hike in the woods, and super friendly host. Bring your own supplies, enjoy a few days of relaxation, and get back in touch with nature. Will definitely try to come back.

I have stayed here several times and just love it. It's perfect for my short stays in Abilene -- especially the screened porch with comfy furniture and a nice view of the lake for a long session reading.

Gale went above and beyond to make this an amazing visit! She had tasty treats available upon our arrival (asked about any food allergies ahead of time), gave great recommendations for the next leg of our trip, and served us a great breakfast before we hit the road again. We will be sure to come this way again!!

What a beautiful and secluded spot! We saw wild boar, walked the trail they have marked off and enjoyed a night of peace. Such a cute home!

This place was beautiful and serene, the views were insane to wake up to and go to sleep to every night. The property was very tidy and extremely clean. I only wish they had some more bath towels and firmer pillows (these are very soft but are not the best if you are used to firmer pillows). The overhead speaker was also great but kept cutting out which may be due to the connection of the area being much more rural. We were so happy with our time here and would definitely come back!!

Loved how secluded and private the Owl’s Nest was yet we were 10 minutes from the beautiful Illinois River. The big patio and deck with rocking chairs, the portable grill and hot tub were the perfect amenities. Such a relaxing and enjoyable experience!

The Overlook made us feel tucked away in a private getaway with gorgeous views, a hot tub under the stars, and the well designed space that was warm and inviting. We enjoyed that there was privacy and so much natural light. A full kitchen allowed us to enjoy a romantic night in, and then a restorative breakfast in the morning. All around, a gorgeous space, with beautiful views. The hosts were kind and responsive.

My girlfriend and I stayed two nights. This was such a wonderful and, relaxing experience. The Cottage was true to it's name and was absolutely adorable! The location was exactly what we were looking for; quiet, slightly remote but, close enough. Highly recommend 5/5 😊

We enjoyed the privacy, sounds of nature, peace, and quiet. There is a cabin being built next to it, but it is still in progress. We were happy having area to ourselves. I love the large windows in the cabin and being surrounded by trees everywhere. It was so refreshing. The cabin is also very clean and love the decor. Keep in mind there is no oven, and it is a mini fridge, so don't over pack on fridge/freezer food. The cabin faces the sunset and is shaded very nicely. The goats, pigs, donkeys, and chickens were a short walk, but you didn't see from cabin. Loved the animals! I loved watching the cows and horses from a distance and hearing some of the farm sounds. Overall, this is just what we needed to escape from the city and to reset.

This place is perfect! It was quite warm during our stay (June 90 outside) so inside was rather warm BUT there is so much to do outside, you don’t want to go in anyways. The outdoor shower is the best! The special French press coffee machine and old time stove made feeding my assembly line of a family… not so much work but rather fun to do. We loved it there. Thanks for the great views and special memories. De plugged for our family vacation and it was everything my heart needed!!!

This was the best Airbnb experience we’ve ever had! The cottage is absolutely beautiful - cozy, peaceful, and perfectly tucked away for a relaxing escape. The breakfast is delicious and the grounds are just as dreamy, with little touches everywhere that make you want to slow down and soak it all in. But what truly sets this place apart is Monica! She is an exceptional host - welcoming, kind, and personable which made our stay even more special. You can tell she genuinely cares about her guests and has poured her heart into creating this little slice of heaven! We brought our dogs along and it was the perfect getaway for all of us. We’re already talking about when we can come back. Thank you, Monica, for sharing your magical space with us!

If you are looking for an a daily get away to somewhere quiet and peaceful look no further. The cabin is perfect for two people. The location is beautiful and overall everything was perfect.

It was a great little place. Multiple cabins in relatively close proximity, but the way that they're seperated and facing means that you barely even notice them.
