Beds have locally made high-quality down duvets with allergy protectors on mattresses and pillows and quality soft microfiber sheets. Extra-long couch in living room sleeps a fifth guest. One bedroom has a long couch for an extra guest in-room. Pack-n-play crib for infants/toddlers. Amazing modern, wood and stainless sun-drenched kitchen has Jenn-Aire gas stove, farm sink, stainless built-in fridge and huge oak island. My wife is an amazing French trained cook, so the kitchen is well stocked. Living room has 50" 4K TV with all streaming services and a gas fireplace. Forced-air central heat and AC keeps things just the right temp. Washer/dryer in unit. Coded locks make entry a breeze. Wifi is blazing fast. Great relocation option, business or corporate stays, events or sightseeing, visiting relatives, or checking out the music or sports scene. Light rail goes directly downtown (4 min), stadiums (12 minutes) and the University of Washington (3 min). We know you'll love it here. It has a charming private feel yet access to everything. Private front porch or side patio French door entrances via keyless code. (Just a few steps up for those concerned about stairs). Amazing gourmet kitchen, gas stove, microwave, dishwasher and Asko washer/dryer. Dining room has a table and chairs that can be moved out of the double doors onto a private patio for al fresco dining on gorgeous days. Each bedroom has a private bath. A guest on the living room couch will need access to a bedroom bathroom. Parking available for a car in our driveway or at a pay lot very close by if you vehicle is too large or you have more than two. It is all right outside the front door! Walk! The walk score here is near perfect at 98! Light Rail to Airport, Stadiums, Downtown malls and Public Market (Westlake and Pacific Place), Convention Center, Light Rail to the Airport (40 min), Stadiums (12 min), Downtown shopping (5 min) or University of Washington (3 min). My wife and I have a small non-allergenic terrier rescue that we love, but... guests animals are discouraged because of the central location next to busy roads, hardwood floors and allergies of other guests. Central East Austin is a diverse and dynamic neighborhood that is just a few minutes from downtown and yet still quiet. In addition to offering of some of Austin's best restaurants and music venues, it also has important history to explore. In the last century, highway 35 was a tool of segregation, with east (of 35) Austin providing a rich community for African Americans. See how this history lives on through a plethora of old and new businesses is this burgeoning neighborhood! There is a parking spot that you are welcome to use directly in front of the house and there is also plenty of street parking with no permitting or street cleaning concerns. The closest B-Cycle station is a 15 minute walk away at Victory Grill on 11th St. Many of the 6th St restaurants and bars are a 10 minute walk as well. If you would prefer not to walk, there are a selection of ride share services such as RideAustin (our favorite), Lyft, or Uber. The street has two names, Hamilton Ave and Richard Overton Ave. Depending on your map source you may see either one pop up. Richard Overton is the oldest living American and American World War II veteran at 112 years of age. He lives down the block where be bought a house after the war ended.
