Great stay at Domaine de Candide, a beautiful cottage in the middle of the Nevers countryside. The place is beautiful, bordered by the river. We immediately felt good there, thanks to the calm of the place and the hospitality of Cyril who provides many small touches for his guests.

A cozily furnished gîte, exterior natural stone, inside wooden walls. In a quiet location located in a hamlet, opposite the hosts' house. A south-facing wooden deck and south-facing backyard. With nice weather, enjoy the sun and birds chirping here! The kitchen is fine, plenty of pans and utensils. Bathroom downstairs, bathroom upstairs, 4 bedrooms with lots of beds and cribs. House is also suitable for families with children(ren), there are lots of toys, high chairs, etc. Underfloor heating downstairs, radiators upstairs. Bed linen and towels included. The area is beautiful, a lot of natural beauty (including plots with Christmas trees) and wildlife, is great for walks both directly from home and a little further away. A dam deer park and the Roche des Fées nearby, the lake of St Agnan at about 6 km., towns of Saulieu, Avallon, Vézelay at 15-30 minutes by car. Discreet hosts, helpful if needed. Marie-Hélène's house, next to hers, is in a rural and forest environment, far from everything, and it's charming. Ideal for hikes in the Morvan. Marie-Hélène is discreet and attentive to her guests.

Small house located in quiet and relaxing countryside plain. The hospitality is great, always attentive and gives good advice. I would recommend this place for anyone who wants to escape and seek tranquility.

Back in Nevers we came back. Always the same friendly welcome, this time we met the little boy and saw the good weather with the 2 dogs. Like the previous trip, everything is okay. A property to remember.

Pierre is a very friendly and accommodating host. The accommodation was above my expectations, you are like in a hotel, completely independent room with ensuite bathroom, and well blackout curtains, which is a plus for sleeping in! The bedding is good, the accommodation is clean, and you have everything you need to make a quick breakfast... I had a very good night at Pierre's, which I highly recommend! I would come back without hesitation.

Very good restful stop. Everything is designed to make you feel at home. Access to the kitchen for preparing meals is also appreciated. I'd love to come back.
