wonderful, fresh, airy flat in Merchiston. noisiest things were birds and squirrels. thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay in this spacious apartment close to the main attractions with good local bars. We never took public transportation to get around as we could walk everywhere. The place had a lot of room with large beds. The street noise was annoying for those near the street, mainly from a very loud crosswalk signal, but ear plugs were sufficient to block it out. The staff was very responsive and sent a maintenance person for a broken smoke detector quickly. Overall, we were very happy with the location, spacious beds and rooms, with clean, modern amenities close the action.

A perfect place to stay for a family of 7 plus 9 month old baby. Lots of space and brilliant location for the Edinburgh Marathon Festival. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

The flat is cozy and the location is amazing! It's also wonderfully quiet at night considering it's right on the Royal Mile. The host was super friendly and helpful too and it's literally a 3 minute walk to the train station! For folks on longer trips looking to do laundry, make sure you allow time for your clothes to air dry because the flat's unit is just a washer, not a washer/dryer combination like we initially assumed. A convenient drying rack is provided though so it works fine as long as you give yourself enough time.

The apartment was sparkling clean, very practical, and very well connected. The next Tesco only a few hundred meters away. Very close to the bus stop too. We spent 4 days at the apartment, and enjoyed every minute. Xuelian was a very resourceful host and shared a lot of useful information with us.

Probably the most beautiful apartment we have ever stayed in during vacations!! Very spacious apartment with large rooms and plentiful amenities which made it ideal when travelling with two young children. Andrew provided extra support with a high chair and baby cot to make us comfortable as well. Neighbourhood is walking distance to the core Old Town area. Local large park nearby was perfect for kids to run around in after spending the day in the city. Would not hesitate to stay in this apartment again during our next visit. Thank you Andrew!

We needed somewhere to stay close to the airport. Tara's place was perfect. Very nice home! Tara was outstanding and a great host! We made a request and she went above and beyond to meet our needs. Highly recommend!

Lovely apartment on a quiet street. Local amenities about a 5 minute walk away and a 25 minute walk to get to Princes Street. We had a great time in Edinburgh, thank you Mark for a lovely stay.

I arrived at the flat after 10pm and so was especially grateful for crystal clear and easy instructions for access. The stairs are a bit of a hike for anyone not used to living in a walk up, but I’m a not especially athletic 66 and was fine even with my carry-on suitcase & large backpack. The place gets 5 stars from me for the super-responsive, pleasant, and helpful host and the lovely residential but fun neighborhood, perfect for the working traveller who prefers local charm. Breakfast at Romina & a leisurely cappuccino with my iPad at Books ‘n Cups was the ideal way to start a day when I did not have to be anywhere until late morning. I made a venison steak for dinner just so I could feel a little local by patronizing the charming butcher shop around the coroner from the flat. A couple of local bars (side by side) stay open until “late.” There’s a range of ethnic & other restaurants, & several book shops, including Rare Birds, which specializes in women authors (get the name?).

It was a very beautiful room and we had a pleasant vacation. Edinburgh is very beautiful.

The place was huge and very well equipped. We had everything we needed and a lot of space. It was in a quiet neighborhood and had a great view of the Crags. Jonathan gave us restaurant and sightseeing recommendations and went above and beyond by meeting us at check in and check out to help with our luggage. This was necessary as there are several steps to the building entrance from the street or parking lot and there were 3 flights of stairs to the apartment. It was easy to walk anywhere including the Royal Mile and even New Town.

The place is walkable distance to great bars and the botanical garden. Close to the bus stop as well that takes you to the royal mile in 15mins. The place has all the listed amenities. You can hear the noise in the hallway and front door banging. I would've liked an airtight door to create some soundproofing. The upstairs neighbor noise wasn't a big problem for me. The place was clean and kitchen was fully stocked!

Stayed for week on a business trip to Edinburgh. The apartment was great for this but equally would've been happy to have stayed here on leisure trip to Edinburgh. Would definitely book again .

Annie’s place was just lovely and had everything we needed . She was always very responsive if I had a question. She even supplied us with a teapot as we are tea drinkers and don’t like a teabag in a cup, so to us that was going the extra mile. My son and daughter in law were traveling with us so it was easy for them to walk into Edinburgh whereas my husband and I took the bus every day and the bus stop was very close by. I would highly recommend Annie’s place if you are in Edinburgh. Bruntsfield has lots of shops, restaurants and grocery store nearby.

This was my favourite stay on Airbnb so far. Mark was an incredible host, with great communication, clear instructions and generosity with everything (we made full use of the Nespresso machine 😂). The flat itself was beautiful, very nicely decorated. you can tell just from looking at it that a lot of thought and effort went into it, has a lot of personality, and quite clear that mark uses it himself as well. would definitely recommend to anyone who doesn't mind the slightly higher price and a few flights of stairs :)

I spent nearly four months in Wendy's accommodation. I had a great time there! The apartment itself offers great views, and the room is very comfortable. It is easily accessible by bus and has a good connection to the city centre and main University Campus, as well as being close to a big supermarket and the beach. Being on the outskirts of the city and by the sea, it made it very easy to find peace, walking along the beach or visiting my personal favourite place, Newhailes Estate. For those coming to study here: the bus connection to the University of Edinburgh's King's Buildings is not great, especially on the way back, and if you'll have to be there a lot I'd recommend getting a bicycle, which is about twice as fast. Wendy is a very friendly host, who is usually not home during the day but if you run into her and she has time she will be open for a chat - for example sharing stories or music. She loves baking, and might leave something she made in the fridge for you!

Was a good place and close to restaurants and the station. Had come for a conference and was very easy to commute to the international centre. Very reasonable prices as well! We had a good time. Thank you
