Come out and enjoy beautiful False River! The house is an open floor plan with a full kitchen, two sleeping areas, a living area, a bathroom and laundry room. It sleeps six people (2 sets of twin bunk beds and a queen bed), but could accommodate up to 8 people if you pull out the blowup mattress that we've left in the closet. There is a large upper deck, a lower patio, a large yard space with fire pit, and a private pier at the lake for you to enjoy. Perfect "cabin by the lake" setting.
“What a gem! Scotty and Courtney's place exceeded my expectations. Our favorite parts of the cottage were all of the outdoor areas (the pier and swing, upstairs deck and dining table, grill and outdoor firepit). Inside, the cottage is smartly decorated with a well-stocked kitchen. Communication with Scotty and Courtney was easy and fast and they shared some great recommendations for local eateries. We hope to return!”
Luxury 1 bedroom 1 bath, jacuzzi tub, 2 fireplace, fridge, washer dryer, fully equipped. Pier and boat dock.
“I enjoyed a weekend getaway at Joe’s bungalow and would easily recommend the space to other vacationers or anyone looking for a relaxing spot. The cabin in and of itself is a work of art, beautiful and inviting, and the view of False River is spectacular. The kitchen is very well stocked and made cooking a breeze. Joe was pleasant to communicate with and the check-in/check-out process was straightforward. Note that the cabin is next to a trafficed roadway, so it is not a secluded location. I had no trouble sleeping, but it might be worth mentioning just in case.”
This cozy and well-appointed cabin is perfect for bird watchers, writers, or those looking to experience the serenity of the woods. The first floor has a large living/dining area with a queen sized sofa bed, dining table, modern, fully furnished kitchen and full bathroom. The downstairs contains a dreamy bedroom with queen sized bed and full bathroom. The cabin is 8 miles north of downtown St. Francisville and mere minutes from hiking, shopping, area festivals, and dining establishments. Amenities include the provision of all linens and towels, a washer/dryer and internet service. Important to note: There are no TVs at this property.
“This cozy little getaway is somehow only minutes from town (for easy groceries, gas, or a date night dinner) and yet still so secluded on its own little piece of wooded property (out of the way of the hustle and bustle and perfect for some peace and quiet)! It's also a quick 30 minutes from some of the best hiking in the area at Clark Creek. Our host was delightful and made setting up the stay and navigating the area super simple. The cottage was stylishly furnished and boasted wonderful views from the main living area of the greenery surrounding the property in early spring. The kitchen has been renovated and has most everything you might need on a trip away, and the master bedroom was cozy and comfortable. The fire pit area made for some really lovely nights with drink in hand. Would absolutely stay again!”
