Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Neath

We had a wonderful stay here - particularly with our two kiddos. The space felt comfortable, clean, and welcoming to children, with toys, a travel cot, high chair, and stair gate ready for our use! Our hosts were so kind and communicative - there was a low battery on one of the smoke detectors when we arrived, and Chris came out right away to fix it for us. We felt close to everything - the Mumbles pier, Joe's ice cream, Caswell Beach (among others!) and Clyne Gardens ... but still private and calm for early bedtimes. It was absolutely wonderful - we'd recommend it to anyone and would happily stay there again.

If you are looking for a peaceful getaway in a beautiful setting, look no further! This is honestly the best Airbnb we have ever stayed at. The house is gorgeous and beautifully decorated and was completely spotless. The furniture and beds were so comfortable. Phil and Stig were so welcoming and friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect! We are already planning to come back next year. Thank you so much for everything!

The original cottage has been renovated , decorated and furnished to a very high standard, making it a comfortable place to be. The outdoor space is delightful, with the relaxing sound of the river below and the plentiful birdsong.

lovely little weekend stay in the Mumbles - Wales Coast Path at the front door and the promenade was a lovely place to stroll after dinner. accommodation was perfect, had everything we needed and the hot tub was perfect to soak in after a long days walk.

Beautiful cottage, exactly as described which made for a perfect week away. Lovely space for the dogs in a very rural retreat. Lots to do but you do need a car! Make sure you go fully laden with food and drink but otherwise you can switch off and chill.. Thank you Dorian.. we will definitely be back for more… just perfect ❤️

Really really loved our stay here! Such a beautiful place, with stunning views! Place was equipped with everything and more, we felt so cosy as soon as we arrived. Lovely picnic bench where we spent most of our time enjoying the views and the friendly cat was an added bonus. Thank you so much for a gorgeous stay and would definitely come back!

A beautiful comfy cosy cottage in a great location . Hillary and Hugh were very responsive thoughtful hosts . The wood burner is great and quickly heats the whole place . It’s very well equipped and had absolutely everything we needed for an Easter break . The area is perfect for walking , castles and beaches and the y Polyn was great for food on the Saturday night . We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

We visited for a long weekend to attend a family wedding. The apartment was perfect for what we needed and exactly what we were expecting. Elizabeth was a wonderful host - friendly and responsive to any questions we had. We would definitely stay again.

I had a lovely last-minute stay at Liz’s place — it was absolutely perfect for a quiet night away. It had everything and more needed for it. The space was spotless, cozy, and exactly what I needed. Liz was so friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. I would 100% return. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay at The Aros. A wonderful apartment with everything you need. It’s a perfect location too. Wonderful view and surrounded by the shops and restaurants but it was still quiet in the evening. We walked everywhere and there was free parking a minute walk away. We had a gorgeous walk to the pier and The Lighthouse restaurant was just perfect. Thank you!

We had a great stay in the mumbles, very convenient to the local amenities. good sized accommodation and dog friendly which is great!

We really enjoyed staying in this charming former dairy cottage. The views are simply breathtaking and the ground floor apartment was very comfortable. We loved having our breakfast on the little terrace and a lie on the grass at the end of the day was very relaxing. The bed was comfortable and the shower was powerful. Attractive furnishings g made for an uplifting stay. Liz made us feel very welcome. Crickhowell a short drive away is delightful and we particularly enjoyed our lunch at The Bear. We hope to return.

Very helpfull, good communication, great suggestions and most of all, a lovely house. The initial form filling and deposit providing on their own platform was kind of jarring and a bit of a hassle but I guess thats how they maintain it so well and it was well worth the state of the place. Would 100% recommend, dont let the form filling stop you!

We loved our stay here. It's a small place but has been perfectly designed to fit everything you need in it. The fold down bed was super comfortable. With the train station walkable and a short train ride to Cardiff, it's an ideal place to use as a base when visiting there. Overall, we would definitely recommend this place, and as we often visit family in Cardiff, we would use again

Maxine’s flat was very well appointed. It is clear she has put a lot of care into decoration. The linen smelt lovely and fresh. The view from the main bedroom is beautiful and perfect with a morning cuppa. Maxine left an extremely generous welcome pack which was gratefully received. The kitchen is well supplied for self catering. We walked into Brynmawr and along the 46 cycle track to Abergavenny which is about 11 miles. We also visited the Four Waterfalls Trail, around 30 min away. Sugar Loaf Mountain is also worth visiting. We had a drink in The Hobby Horse in Brynmawr, which was good value for money and has a good reputation for food. We also ate in The Grofield in Abergavenny which served good food with a friendly atmosphere. Thank you for your warm welcome Maxine. I have to come clean - I am an enthusiast of Penarth, the architecture of the town, the community feel, and everything about the place. Sarah's place, being among the oldest houses in the town, was a must for all the things I was looking for. Sarah herself is friendly and has clearly put a lot of herself into the house. My journey time to Penarth could have been subject to delays, being more than 500 miles... but we had good communication and met up without difficulty at the house. All in all, the house was cosy and well appointed. It also was a great base for strolling into Penarth Town centre and even, across the barrage, to Butetown and even Cardiff. I would thoroughly recommend Sara's house for your stay.

I visited with a family of 9. It was a lovely place, we all felt right at home. Everything was well described in the listing and even better in real than the photos. I highly recommend Simon’s place If you wish to explore Cardiff and surrounding areas. It is a convenient location to station yourself in the city. This clever barn conversion is quite thoughtfully designed and very comfortable inside and out. The professional level of decoration found a wonderful balance of beauty and homeyness; everything was lovely in the most welcoming way. There was lots of space for our family to spread out, and the beds and linens were excellent. As lovely as the house is, the best part by far is the view. It was absolutely stunning, rain or shine! We found ourselves drawn outside at all hours of the day to enjoy the sights and sounds around us. Just as described, there were places in the house where the wifi was spotty, and the track up through the neighboring farm to the house might be a challenge for some cars. As we had read about the property, we were not surprised and spent an absolutely wonderful week there! There were plenty of restaurants and grocery stores 10-15 minutes away in Abergavenny when we could tear ourselves away from this slice of paradise.
