Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Mudgee

Great spot and easy to walk into town where you can find anything you need.

We stayed at this lovely villa in Mudgee, perfectly located within walking distance to great cafes and bars. Communication with the host was excellent, and they kindly allowed us a midday checkout, which we really appreciated. A note for pet owners: while the property is listed as dog-friendly, you're not permitted to leave your dog unattended at the villa. This is mentioned in the additional rules section on Airbnb, but it's not clearly communicated during booking or indicated with signage at the property. Unfortunately, this impacted our experience, as we typically choose Airbnbs for the flexibility to travel with our dog as we would at home. For this reason, we likely wouldn’t stay again, but the property itself is lovely and would be a great fit for travelers without pets or those who plan to have their dog with them at all times.

Sharon's property was really well located in Rylstone. We loved the outdoor space and the ability to have a fire indoors and outdoors. We travelled with both sets of parents and they were extremely happy with all the facilities, location and amenities. Sharon was easy and friendly to communicate with, and her house had everything that we needed. We cooked meals in her kitchen and made use of the BBQ. It's a perfect place to have a few wines after a day of exploring the nearby wineries, especially as the sun sets outside. I even brought my telescope to do some stargazing. Make sure you leave time to explore the town, there are some great little gems and restaurants. We would definitely return - thank you Sharon!

Thank you for such a beautiful place to call home! The home was so gorgeous, and decorated perfectly. It was warm and cozy and the indoor fireplace was perfect. We took two gorgeous pampered pooches, and although they were out with us all day and evening, they loved the backyard when we returned. Thank you for a beautiful place to land

This is a great house for a group. Great design, well equipped, very homely and a great location. Our host was super responsive and pleasant. When we are in the area again as a group we’ll look to book this.

Staying at Marsimbet Cottage felt like staying at a friend's place - a musical friend with great taste in books, who supports the same AFL team. 😄 The cottage was cosy but also allowed our family of four space to retreat from one other. It was great being easy walking distance from everything too. Paul was friendly and communicative and we really appreciated the chance to check in early.

This was a lovely place to stay and the photos and home matched beautifully. This is a home with attractive furniture and decor, very comfortable beds , well equipped and so on. The only criticisms would be that the main seating (opposite the TV ) is very grubby and torn in one place. Also, and this is probably nothing Margie can do anything about, is the next door neighbors have hunting (?) dogs kept in a small cage in the back yard. These dogs barked a lot a couple of nights and then disappeared and were replaced by a couple of different dogs - what was happening there I don’t know. All in all this was a really lovely place to stay and have as a base for our looking around this beautiful area. Thank you inMargie for a very comfortable and welcoming place to stay. Linda.

Going in Winter to Mudgee was a choice, but Samantha’s place provided the warmth and comfort we were seeking. Great cottage feel and beautifully decorated.

Carmen and Chris’s place was so perfect for our weekend away. Carmen was so responsive and helpful leading up to the stay and while we were there. The location was so well thought-out and great space for the kids too. Thanks both, We’ll definitely be back x

Amazing stay at Michael's place! Was in town for a wedding with a group and this place was beautiful with lots of room. Close to the main town and the host was very helpful

Such a unique and lovely farm stay experience with my family… The living room is next level, seriously the comfiest couch ever, with games galore and a view you could stare at for hours. Beds were super comfy, kitchen had everything we needed and it’s under 20 mins to Mudgee. Can’t ask for much more than that!

A lovely large home for our family to enjoy the region from. So clean and comfortable. The roads in are great. Beautiful views and the big chair is wonderful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to The Church. Nestled in the country with great views and privacy. Cosy and comfortable we really enjoyed the fire. Will certainly visit again. Gina provided excellent instructions to locate the property.

We had an exceptional stay at this beautiful property! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how exceptionally clean and well-maintained everything was. The host’s attention to detail truly stood out — every little touch was thoughtfully considered, making our stay incredibly comfortable. It’s a perfect place for families, and we loved how dog-friendly it was too — our furry companions felt just as welcome as we did. The location is fantastic, offering both peace and convenience. We especially enjoyed spending time around the fire pit, and the large tree in the front yard added such a lovely, relaxing atmosphere. The indoor fireplace was a cozy bonus, perfect for cooler evenings. A huge thanks to Louise, the host, for her excellent communication throughout. She made the entire experience smooth and welcoming. We can’t wait to return!

The property was great! Pool is the star, kids loved to spend time there. Ingrid is a great host, very responsive for any questions during pre-arrival. Bear the dog is super friendly. The location of the property is also convinient as it is only 5 mins drive to the town. Overall i give 5 out of 5. Definitely recommend this place for anyone wants to visit and stay a few nights in Mudgee

Rob’s place is perfect for someone who’s looking for a tranquil and quiet home off-the-grid. If you want to go on an online detox, this is the place to be. There is no reception inside the house but a few steps from it, you could acccess Rob’s wifi if you need it urgently. The surroundings and the whole farm is fantastic, you wake up to kangaroos and hares running around everywhere. My husband even had a run around the property and it was nice. The couple were very helpful to us and gave useful local recommendations on where to go. The interiors of the house made us feel like we were in a different country, we loved the vibe. Recommended as an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.

We had an incredible stay at the Old Post Office Cottage in Mudgee! The cottage was immaculately clean, spacious, and filled with thoughtful amenities, from a full kitchen to a BBQ area. The two east-facing bedrooms were so peaceful in the morning, with stunning sunlight streaming in—pure relaxation! We loved the charming vineyard setting and enjoyed lighting a fire as the sun went down, creating a magical atmosphere. The freshly baked sourdough loaf and beautiful rose left for us were lovely touches that made our stay feel extra special. Highly recommended!

Another wonderful stay! This is the second time I have stayed at Wendy’s cottage. It is such a beautiful place and perfect location. Wendy was prompt when replying with any questions about the property and amenities. Would recommend to stay!

Beautiful home for our weekend away. We needed to bring our two dogs so specially looked for a pet-friendly house. If you have a really little dog there are a few gaps under the gates they can get out of so be mindful of that, but overall it really was a lovely and very pet-friendly home. We also asked for an early check in and Sunny’s Cottage were very responsive and helpful as the house was ready and available. We would stay there again if visiting Mudgee.

What an amazing 30th birthday! The wildlife around the house was a special experience. Every inch of the house utilized! Unfortunately it was so hot we couldn’t use the outdoor fire pit, but will have to come back in winter :)
