The Wheelhouse Inn - CROW'S NEST

The Crow's Nest is a standalone unit situated at the top of the property. It is the most spacious of our 5 accommodations with the biggest views. Every room has spectacular views over Tasman Bay to the ranges in the west. The Crow's Nest has 2 bedrooms ... the master with a king bed and the second bedroom with 2 singles. There is also a double pull-out sofa bed in the lounge. The kitchen is fully equipped with a cooktop, stove, fridge, microwave, tea, coffee, sugar and a full range of crockery and cutlery. From there you can move to the dining room or out on to the spacious balcony which has a bbq and outdoor seating for casual dining. The lounge has a flat screen tv, dvd and there is Free WIFI. The bathroom is upstairs with the master bedroom and has a shower, toilet and also a washing machine and dryer. Free parking is directly outside your accommodation and the whole unit is surrounded by native bush.

For it's first 30 years it was the 2nd story of one of the areas original farmsteads before being split from the ground level and relocated 100m north to where it sits today. Privately nestled in amongst heritage trees on a large section you could be mistaken for being in the country. My place is a sunny, charming bijou apartment in an 1880s villa, just a 10-min walk to the historic cathedral, cafés, alfresco dining, and the famous Nelson Saturday Market. It’s close to the Maitai River, with cycle paths, walks, swimming spots, and picnic areas. There is a private outdoor garden with lounge chairs, a BBQ grill, grapes and feijoas. My place comfortably sleeps two, with an en-suite bathroom. A fold-out chair bed and extra bedding can accommodate a third guest if needed. Enjoy!

"Seas The Moment" - The Commodore Suite

Situated under ten minutes drive to City, Beach, Golf Course, Airport. Overlooks the sea, mountains, beach. The Commodore Suite, situated on the entrance level of our house, is sunny, very warm, light and airy. One bedroom, bathroom, living area & kitchenette with 2 hobs, microwave, slow cooker, air fryer and bench top grill. BBQ available on the upper deck as is use of that deck. Washer and dryer available in our living area which guests always welcome to use. Not suitable for children.

You have a separate entry via your own west facing deck. The deck has an outdoor bath, table & chairs with BBQ, all for your exclusive use. Fast internet & Netflix. 5 mins by car to airport, beach, 10 mins to central Nelson or Richmond and 1 hour to Abel Tasman National Park. Earlier check-in & later check-out usually available.
