The Pearl of Whakatiwai. A completely restored Bed/kitchen/dining room with separate shower and toilet. This house was built in the 50's and so we have lovingly recreated the whole 50's vibe for your enjoyment. Right on the edge of the Firth of Thames you can lie in bed and see the views that go on forever. A great little kitchen with new oven and fridge, plus all the tools you need if you want a "foodie" get away. We do not have a TV, but great WiFi. Great fishing right on your doorstep.

Location was fantastic, and the waterfront sunrise view was beautiful, and a great way to start your day! Enjoyed spending time on the porch. Self check in process was easy, and having a dedicated parking spot right at the stairwell was a huge convenience. Amenities were excellent & the space itself was clean and nicely decorated. We also appreciated Donna’s quick responses and willingness to accommodate our needs on short notice. Her hospitality truly made a difference in our experience.

Eileen’s house at Opito Bay is fabulous!! absolutely stunning location right on the beach at the south end. The house is very spacious, especially the kitchen lounge dining area which is all open plan. Great also to have the sleep out if you have a couple of extra people with its own toilet, and amazing outdoor shower amongst the trees, well you can take a shower and look at the view, idyllic ! Big covered out outdoor deck on the backside of the house which is gives options if the weather is not good. The house is very modern and immaculate. Will definitely be back!!

Great spot to be able to park the car and walk everywhere. Kids enjoyed being able to use the pool and spa especially as too cold to swim in the ocean. Apartment had a nice view and was clean and tidy. It would of been nice to have a few more basics in the kitchen like paper towels, baking paper to line trays etc but otherwise kitchen had everything we needed. Loved our stay. Very relaxing.

The house was absolutely spotless and the beds were super comfy and everything was so well set up for all that we needed! Nice private backyard for the kids to play and the spa was lovely in the cooler evenings. We can’t wait to come back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The setting is absolutely stunning - with a view over the ocean, falling asleep listening to ocean waves, the wonderful sandy beach just steps away, other beaches just a short drive away, great restaurant and coffee cafe nearby, incredible views and such friendly people wherever we went. We were rather sad to leave and would come back in a heartbeat. Our hosts patiently answered all our questions, made great recommendations, and through the generous use of some boogie boards, our adult children got to fulfill a "dream" of "surfing" (sort of) in NZ!
