Sapelo Island is a state-managed barrier island, the fourth largest in the chain of coastal Georgia islands, and boasts an abundance of wildlife and is a birder’s paradise! The Sapelo Island beaches are pristine, undeveloped, unspoiled, and certainly uncrowded.

This house is a quiet recluse on the marsh and a tidal creek. It faces Sapelo Island and is close to St. Simons, Jekyll, and Savannah. Great for naturalists with a 1.5 acre fresh water pond for exotic birds and wildlife and near to the Harris Neck Wildlife Refuge. We have 2 double kayaks, a canoe, 8 bikes, a hot tub and a sky for stargazing. The well-equipped kitchen opens to the great room with bedrooms on each wing. Pets welcome and plenty of parking.

This is a comfortable home in a quiet neighborhood graced with Spanish Moss draped Live Oaks. It is walking/ bicycling distance from downtown Darien, historic squares, parks, and waterfront as well as shops and restaurants. Kayak and bike rentals are available close by. The home is one hour south of Savannah and 30 minutes to the lovely beaches of Jekyll and Sapelo Islands. This area is certainly a birder's paradise!
