Vacation rentals with a patio in McGaheysville

First off, Rob and Jen are genuinely kind and nice people. That contributes greatly to being super hosts who treat their guests with kindness and concern. Their apartment is just as the photos depicted. It is very clean, has a private entrance and private patio, and has all you need for a comfortable stay. The pasture raised eggs, personal note, and local coffee add a really nice touch. The neighborhood is quiet and safe, it is a short walk to town, and very close to area wineries, hiking, and fishing. Their sweet Golden Retreiver Sadie may greet you. I really enjoyed my stay and look forward to returning.

Communication with Isabella was a breeze. She was responsive and friendly. Location was good - just a few minutes to JMU, grocery stores, and restaurants. The place was clean, cozy, and comfortable. The kitchen had all the necessary amenities - stove, oven, fridge, microwave oven, kettle, and coffee machine. There are also washer and dryer which are able to handle big loads of laundry. The bedrooms are comfortable, as were the beds and pillows. Even though the bathroom is small, the shower water pressure is very good. Isabella and Lorenzo provided us with helpful information and recommendations of where to eat and things to do in the area. Thank you 😊

Jennifer's place is a great stay! We were there for just one night and it was perfect for access to downtown Harrisonburg to meet up with family. very quiet and peaceful setting in the countryside. We did not hear the hosts the live in the space above the apartment. additional information/instructions were around the apartment that were very helpful. we would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it.

Glenn is a great host. Friendly, helpful, flexible. Wonderful lawn that goes down to the river. Canoe and kayaks available. Fire pit with lots of free wood. Well equipped kitchen. Very quiet. We’d go back anytime.

We are repeat guests at Paula’s and it’s always a great time. Visiting our JMU Duke and staying at the Southern Charm Retreat is always fun, convenient to the campus and relaxing. House is roomy and super clean. The game room is a fun bonus and the back yard deck is beautiful, well maintained and great for entertaining. Thanks as always Paula !

This is a lovely place in a great location. It is beautifully decorated and near to some great restaurants and a coffee shop with unbelievable scones!

This home is conveniently located for easy access to shop, eat, walk dogs, and enjoy the Shenandoah river along the Greenway. We were only a few minutes from the caverns and museums and a short drive from Sky Line Drive, where we hiked to Stony Man. Our dogs had a great time, too! There were plenty of towels to use, and the shower water was able to stay warm for a whole shower, which was a better experience than I’ve had at other places. The king sized bed that we slept in was so comfortable that my husband and I also now want one. On our last day, we looked out the window and saw a groundhog wandering in the backyard, which was really cool. Lindsey was very responsive also. We greatly enjoyed our trip to Luray and appreciate our experience!

Check in was simple with instructions provided. House was clean, quiet & comfortable, as well as close to everything. We loved the openness of the layout & were surprised at how much space there was. It was nicely stocked with kitchen basics & bedrooms were super comfy.

The perfect place for our group of 12 for a few days. House was very clean and host had everything we might have needed stocked when we got there. The kids loved the garage game room and basement. Would definitely recommend staying here when visiting Massanutten!

Great property. Owners left great instructions, and the house was private. The deer were an added bonus with the hot tub. Will be back for the winter. 5 Stars

Well appointed home in a great location. The house had lots of little amenities that were great for a family. The living room was cozy and well suited for everything we needed. Kristin was responsive and helpful when we needed anything

My family and I had a great time staying in the home. The images did not do it justice. We were shocked by the beauty of the views and scenery from their home. The property was large and our kids had a blast running around and playing in the treehouse. Highly recommend the place if you like nature and scenery. The train did pass a few times but our kids (ages 2-7) were fine with white noise at night. It didn’t disrupt our time at all. We also really enjoyed the game room. My wife loved using the kitchen and we were thankful they kept some spices on hand. The home is very kid friendly and one of the best airbnbs we’ve stayed at. We grilled, watched the stars from the jacuzzi, picnicked and explored the grounds. We even got to use the laundry room with a quick help from the host. Highly recommend!!

Ashley was such a wonderful host. She was very responsive and went above and beyond in helping us prepare for the trip prior to our check in. It was a pleasure to get to enjoy her house. It gave our family the perfect vacation “home base” we felt a retro-modern vibe throughout the interior and the outdoor spaces were perfect for spotting deer, and relaxing at dusk after staying busy during the day, with all of the resort amenities!

We loved staying here for family vacation. Cheryl’s home was very well put together and she was very communicative for our entire stay. She was very quick in responding to any questions or concerns I had too. The neighborhood was quiet from noise and traffic. The kids had a blast the whole time with all of the games and outdoor activities too! We will definitely be staying again!

Amazing place and it had everything we needed! Clean and comfortable. The bunk beds were a huge hit! We loved everything about our stay here!

Our stay at OverlookLoft was amazing. Host James answered our many questions, and made us feel right at home. The loft is about 20minutes from Shenandoah national park, and within 60minutes of 10 different hikes along Skyline Drive. The loft has upgraded amenities, including remote control hvac, and a new outdoor propane grill. You’ll find comfy outdoor seating on the refinished deck. The kitchen was stocked with pots, pans, spices and more. Making a home cooked meal was easy and convenient. The onsite water supply was fresh, clean and delicious, I strongly recommend giving the tap a try. Inside you’ll find a thoughtful guidebook, loaded with numerous pages of local hotspots and town history. The local town of Elkton was filled with super friendly folks. As was nearby Harrisonburg. Glad we had our 4x4 with us, as some parts of the road and driveway were steep.

Have stayed here multiple times now but this visit was specifically for my daughter and son in law to enjoy a babymoon getaway. The river is easily accessible so they floated in tubes one day and took their canoe out another. They were able to take their dog as it is dog friendly. They grilled out and enjoyed the beautiful decks around the home. Resturant suggestions were layed out with local menus as well as local attractions. Luray Caverns is close by, Cooters, from Dukes of Hazards store serves a great lunch, and the drive and scenery all around is incredible. Sharon is the best host and always available by text or phone for questions. Check in and out were simple.

We visited Massanutten 9 years ago. It left such an impression on my daughter that as a now 18 yo, she wanted to return for her senior year spring break. We had a great time as a family and will return!

We enjoyed our stay very much! The place was comfortable and had room for our family. The host was very responsive to a few questions that I had, overall it was a great stay and we would do it again.

We were in town for my daughter's college graduation. This location is quite beautiful, clean, and offers an array of ammenties, which unfortunately, we were short on time to really be able to experience. Some family members did try to use the pool. The door and gate keys are very sensitive, and we had some issue with the keys not working, therefore a few of us got locked out and that hampered our stay a bit. We did take the matter to the front desk and Massanutten was quick and responsive in resolving the issue, which is so greatly appreciated. I would definitely consider staying at this location for future trips and hopefully experience more that Massanutten has to offer. Thank you for a lovely place to stay and being so helpful!

This pace feels like home! We stayed for 12 days and we never had the feeling of it growing old or not being comfortable. I think we could live there! Our pup did too. Everything about it was as described or better. The hosts were a fantastic family, very welcoming. You should really stay here!
