Relax and unwind in our peaceful getaway nestled in the timber pines of northern Dunsmuir. Enjoy your stay in this cozy 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home, very close to the Mt. Shasta Ski Resort, and several well know waterfalls. This home has recently been fully remodeled, with a new Hot Springs hot tub. This home offers a Cal King bed in the upstairs bedroom, queen size beds in each of the 2 downstairs bedrooms, and an extra fold out queen size bed if needed. Great location in the best part of town!

The Shady Rest Cottage in historic McCloud

The Shady Rest is an original Mill house built in 1924 for workers at the McCloud Mill. We have tried to keep the rustic charm of the home with the original wood floors and countertops, farmhouse sink, and a clawfoot tub. There is a large fenced yard and a cozy front porch to enjoy the mountain air. It is located at the end of a quiet street .8 miles from HooHoo Park and 1.4 miles from Dance Country or the McCloud Hotel. A short drive gets you to the Ski Park, McCloud Falls, hiking and fishing.

This is a cozy, ground level studio flat, in a newer building. The front patio is unique to the Studio guests. Parking in front of the unit, or behind the building. This unit is ADA compatible. The kitchenette is modest, with a hot plate, microwave and a toaster oven. Coffee and tea. Vaulted ceilings give the appearance of space, and the bathroom is very large. Heat/AC and sunny afternoons. Wonderful stay! The Airbnb was pristine, smelled so nice, and had a cozy feeling. It was private and quiet. The bed in the living room was very comfortable. It had everything that we needed and thoughtful extra touches like laundry detergent, shampoo, many utensils, snacks, and much more. It was the most well equipped Airbnb we have ever stayed in. We stayed at the home with 4 adults and we had a good time. The home was spacious enough for each of us to have privacy. There was only one shower, but having the second 1/2 bathroom helped a lot. The home was clean and had a nice back and front yard. We had no problem with anything. Everything functioned. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. The home was a bit out of the middle of town, but with a car no problem. I would definately stay there again!!! Thank you for renting the home to us. 😊👍🏻

We really like how the decor matches the character of the towns history. All needed supplies are well stocked and easy to find. Kitchen is especially well supplied. Linens are comfy and warm! We did not miss having a television, WiFi worked great for keeping up with the world and searching the area details. Thank you for welcoming us to your home!

This is the third time we have spent time in Lisa's cozy cabin, as Dunsmuir is an ideal stop for us en route to our son in Portland. We love it! Although we never play any of the games she has provided, we love the comfortable bed, the shower amenities, and (at Christmastime) the Christmas tree! Lisa was particularly accommodating this time, as I had forgotten to mention our pet when we signed up. PS Pizza Factory in town = great pizza!
