Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Mauritius

The bungalow is really something special. The wooden house is high-quality and minimalist but tastefully decorated. The veranda overlooking the garden is a real highlight. You are in nature, with everything you need. The view is really fantastic. We didn't particularly like the very close beach, even though it was exciting for the children to watch the planes. Otherwise, the location is good for excursions to Le Morne, the south coast, Chamarel and the national park. Communication with Olivier was easy. We were there with two small children, so a special view: the wood creaks quite a bit, as do the doors. Difficult for noise-sensitive children in the evening/ at night. In addition, there are dogs on the property that are very sweet and usually do not pay attention to us. Still not for everyone.

The Villa is amazing. Very peaceful, safe and has a beautiful beach front view. Its extremely spacious with a huge living room and dining. Kitchen has all the amenities required. The best part is the outside sitting area where they also have an 8 seater dining table, where you can sit and enjoy the view of the calm beach. The view of the sunset is breathtaking from here. Swimming pool is very clean and regularly maintained. Master bedroom is quite big. The host of the villa Asvin, is extremely helpful and friendly. Him and the manager Sudesh made sure that we checked in properly and made sure that we were comfortable during our entire stay. Some good restaurants to try, nearby, are Village Cafe (Bf) Chessy Latte (Pizzas), Happy Rajah (Indian) and Chamarel Panoramic Viewpoint Restaurant (Amazing view). Grocery store, London bay, is also very nearby. Overall we loved the place and had an amazing time at the Villa !!

This estate is awesome. Beautiful patio, garden and pool. Well suited for exploring the close by Black River Gorge national park and Le Morne beach. Valerie is a super host! Very friendly, attentive, proactive, providing lots of local info and easy to communicate with.

David was a communicative and welcoming host. The apartment was spacious, with much-appreciated A/C in the bedrooms, and the location was a short distance to the meeting point for the boat tours. David met us for check-in, shared helpful local recommendations, and kindly allowed a late check-out so we could shower after our tour.

Exceptional location, straight out of a dream (or a postcard you don't want to leave). The garden is a little slice of heaven, maintained by a gardener of extreme kindness – we almost wanted to invite him to an aperitif! No negative points... except that you have to leave at some point (and that's cruel) Anyway, we'll be back, that's obvious!

Staying at Sharvins was amazing. with views of the bay a standout. very relaxing with nice restaurants within a short distance. sharvin and family made us very welcome.

We are very happy with our stay at this fantastic villa. The villa has everything you need. The host are very nice with good communication. Thanks to Norberg we felt very welcomed and got good recomendations for restaurants and trips. The villa is in a quiet, safe, private area. You have a nice small beach in walkdistance. And the view is absolutley amazing with perfect sunset. The host let us check out late on our departureday when we had an eveningflight, with no extra charge. We definitely recomend this place!!

We were welcomed into the home on our arrival with great communication. The property is located in a very secure gated community with guards. The property was spotless and maintained to a high standard. It felt very homely and we enjoyed all the amenities, especially the pool and living areas. All the rooms had both AC and a ceiling fan with remote control setting which was very convenient. The location was great for us to get to a few of our adventures which I clouded casella nature park and tamarin falls. Also only 7min drive to flic en flac with numerous restaurants. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to visit mauritius. Also had a lovely view from the terrace!

5/5 stars! We had an unforgettable experience in this fantastic Airbnb apartment in La Gaulette, Mauritius! The apartment was clean, modern and comfortably furnished. The view of the mountains and the sea from the huge roof terrace was breathtaking. The location was perfect for us to explore the entire south of the island. Dhareena was very hospitable and helped us with all questions. Her parents welcomed us and they were incredibly friendly. Due to the delay of our flight and problems with the rental car, we arrived at the apartment much later than agreed, but that was no problem either and due to the good communication with Dhareena everything worked out perfectly. We can only recommend this apartment!

We had a great time at Marie's place. Wishlist of our trip for accommodation but also the place! everything was great! the apartment, the terrace, the air conditioning in the bedrooms, very few mosquitoes. In addition, Marie's mom prepared us to eat every night and it was super good! I would highly recommend this additional service. Village du Morne is very nice, with a few local restaurants to eat, a few convenience stores. We'll come back to this address!

We spent a great holiday in the ground floor Black reef apartment. The apartment is huge & well equipped. Kitchen includes all stuff you need to cook, from pots & pans to microwave & cooking machine. There is a huge fridge, coffee device and all tableware you need. The bedroom is nice and big, as well as bathroom that includes shower & bath tube. Everything is clean and very well preserved, exactly like in the photos. The terrace is opening to the sea and beach, that is very clean, too. There is a heated pool in the garden that is shared with tenants of the other two floors. The beach is nice but rocky, you can go into the water in front of the villa, but is better to use one of the very nice public beaches that are in walking distance. There is a supermarket where you can find almost everything & a very nice beach club (Le Plage) in 10 minutes walking distance and few restaurants closer. Communication was easy with both owner and local responsible person. Everything was perfect & top!

The apartment was clean and fragrant, everything in order and equipped with all the necessities. Meera turned out to be exquisite and very hospitable. I recommend it to everyone.

We really enjoyed our week-long stay at Anne and Dominique's place. They are very available and responsive hosts and they gave us the best recommendations for activities and restaurants nearby. They are warm and love to receive visitors. The accommodation offered a great view of Tamarin Bay and we saw incredible sunsets. The accommodation has everything you need to have a good time (reception, barbecue, swimming pool, proximity to excursions, etc.). We would definitely recommend! Sincerely, Thibault and Céline

We had an amazing stay at this spacious, comfortable, and beautifully maintained apartment. Its location is perfect, with many restaurants, a shopping center, and popular beaches just a short distance away. The apartment is well-kept, offers 24/7 security, and includes dedicated parking - everything we needed for a hassle-free stay. Christopher is a great host. He dropped by during our check-in and thoughtfully walked us through all the apartment amenities. Highly recommend this place for a wonderful stay in Mauritius!

Stayed here during our holiday to Mauritius, we wanted a night on the west coast for the sunset and you can see that without leaving the balcony. Ms Sheela showed us around and explained everything. Lots of lovely little homely touches like beer in the fridge and soft drinks, toiletries, and even binoculars even to try and spot whales/ dolphins. Patio is huge plenty of space , hosts replied to messages promptly and always answered any questions. Ms sheela and pothano were very accommodating and adaptable to any amendments throughout. We would 100% recommend and happily stay here for a full holiday.

The stay at the place was fantastic. Even though we arrived late, the hosts were very flexible. Check-in was quick and easy, which was very pleasant after the long journey. In addition, J.C. provided us with a list of everything you need for your time in Mauritius (restaurant recommendations, attractions, shopping and suggestions for activities) directly after check-in. J.C. and Vero were permanently available and you could always share questions and concerns with them. No matter what you needed, they were always very accommodating. The accommodation was exactly as described and pictured. The location of the place is great. All in all, our stay at the property was wonderful and we will stay with J.C. and Vero again when we travel to Mauritius again.

Ambroise is a great host.... very responsive and detailed from Day 1. The property was clean and well maintained. The two turtles at his place are fun to watch and Ambroise was kind enough to lend his private Kayaks to us. It was a fun experience exploring the reef on the Kayak. Thanks for having us Ambroise!

We had a wonderful week in Tatiana's beautiful apartment. The view of the Indian ocean was spectacular. We practically had the pool and beach to ourselves when we were there as very few others around. Tatiana was very responsive, particularly when we had an issue with the hot water on day one. It was all fixed very quickly. I hope one day we can return as it was the perfect base for us to explore the area. Thank you!

We had an absolutely wonderful 4-night stay at this property in Flic en Flac! The host(Tawhida) was fantastic — warm, welcoming, and personally came to meet us during check-in. She gave us a clear walkthrough of the house, which really helped us settle in quickly. The location is ideal, just a 10-minute walk to the beautiful Flic en Flac public beach. Perfect for morning strolls or catching the sunset! The property itself was spotless, well-maintained, and felt like home. We especially appreciated the dedicated covered parking space, which made things very convenient as we had a rental car. Check-out was also smooth and hassle-free. Overall, it was a great experience from start to finish. Would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful and well-located stay in Flic en Flac. 🌴🌊

Ashvin welcomed us perfectly to his home at La Gaulette. We had a good chat with him, he was very good advice for restaurants and activities in the area. Her place is impeccable, with all the necessary amenities, and impeccably clean! The view of Le Morne and the surrounding greenery is really a plus. I recommend it 100%, thank you Ashvin! Marine

Great apartment with its own grounds and private parking. Simple but helpful amenities were available. The host was always trying to make sure we didn't miss anything. Kitchen, washing machine were also very helpful. We had a great time and would definitely recommend the accommodation.

Teddy is a fantastic, friendly person, always present but never intrusive towards guests. Our best accommodation among the others we've stayed in Mauritius. Very, very recommended!!!!!!!

Océane is an excellent host, she was super responsive and provided us with great local recommendations. The studio is as described in a beautiful small garden.

Naushikha is a great host, and very proactive with helpful information, the apartment is well located for exploring all that Grand Baie has to offer!
