We had such a great time in this lovely lakefront cabin. Our kids loved being in the water and using the kayak and paddle boat, the space was cozy and warm had everything we needee, a hot plate to cook on, a fire pit and games for the kids. Perfect for a weekend getaway.

The view from the balcony pays for the place! So peaceful and the sauna was great. Wish the weather was more cooperative but there’s load to do at this cottage.

Nicolet cottage is part of the Mattawa River Resort, which was a little piece of heaven. My kids and I enjoyed the beach, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, cliff jumping and of course the fire under the stars. The staff was unbelievable friendly and the rustic and charming cottage had everything we needed. The memories we created will be with us forever and we look forward going back next year!

From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the location. Set on a stunning point surrounded by water, forest, and pure tranquility, the property offers panoramic views and a level of peace you rarely find anymore. In the evening, you can take in the sunset at the firepit or from the comfort of your cozy cabin—it’s surreal. As it was cold and rained most of the weekend, we were not bored or disappointed. Enjoyed watching the rain storms from the large picture window. The cottage itself was immaculate. It was spotless, organized, and packed with thoughtful extras (that you may have forgotten) that made it feel like home (and then some). Clearly, the hosts genuinely care about your comfort and want your stay to be memorable. The free use of a golf cart came in handy. The cottage even has an indoor clothes line! If you’re looking for total privacy, peace, comfort, and a truly unique Northern Ontario experience, Timber Haven is it. We’re already planning our return trip!

Kelly, his daughter and furry friends ( Max, Ruby & Mary Jane) made us feel at home. It was my sons 19th and although the weather wasn't fantastic we went on so many adventures and loved the peace, comfort, thoughtful amenities. If your looking for a little slice of heaven, this is the spot .

Great cottage. It was larger then it appeared in the photos. There were many little areas to hang out in together or alone to read. The dual dock was great as some of us wanted to lounge and others wanted to fish. Beds were comfy, lots of extra blankets, sheets and towels were a bonus . My 2 dogs were living their best lives and I felt comfortable letting them roam around as we were at the end of a private lane. I would 💯 recommend Adam’s place.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this charming cottage! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and at home. The location is stunning, with breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere that made our getaway so relaxing. Our kids had a blast with the wide range of activities available. We spent hours swimming in the crystal-clear water, paddle boating, and kayaking. The cottage was well-equipped with everything we needed for these adventures. We also enjoyed playing badminton in the yard and shooting hoops at the basketball net. The nearby town was delightful, and we were lucky enough to be there during the community fair. The fair was full of fun activities and the fireworks display was spectacular, creating a magical end to our weekend. A big thank you to our host for sharing her beautiful space with us. Your hospitality and attention to detail made our stay unforgettable. We made so many wonderful memories here that we’ll cherish forever.

Great cozy cottage. Beautiful lakefront property with lots of room for outdoor games and activities. Lake was calm and good for kayaks which were provided, and the sandy bottom water entrance around the dock was nice. It was a short paddle over to a nice diving rock which we were told about by a passing by kayaker! Beds were comfortable and kitchen had everything we needed. Overall great stay!

The place was amazing! Jim and his family were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. The cottage is cozy, warm, and beautifully maintained, it truly felt like a home away from home. Everything was spotless, from the house to the lake, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. There were so many activities to enjoy: kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding, and more. The property is peaceful and surrounded by nature, perfect for relaxing or exploring. It’s easily become one of my favorite places, and I’d definitely love to come back!

Patricia was a helpful host, very friendly and accommodating. Her place was peaceful, had a beautiful lake view. It was cute, cozy with rustic vibes. It was clean, organized, and had everything we needed. Also, the location is close to Screaming Heads and different hiking trails perfect for seeing the autumn foliage.

We had a great time at Marta’s cottage. Even though it rained for part of our stay, we never felt like we were missing out. The cottage is so cozy and fully stocked with everything you could possibly need, you will find plenty to do both indoors and outdoors. We hope to come back again!

Had an absolutely lovely stay at the cabin! Great location and very private. Perfect for our annual Autumn visit to the area to go to Algonquin Park, Huntsville and Screaming Heads. The cabin was well stocked, clean and very cozy... we truly had everything we needed. We were even greeted with a little basket of treats which was so sweet! Our kitty loved staying there as well. Leah's instructions were quite clear and she was very responsive to any questions we had. Our weekend was truly awesome, we would definitely love to come back!!!

We had such a lovely stay! The setting was perfect. We swam every day and used the paddle boards and kayaks. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen perfectly stocked. The welcoming smores fixings was a nice surprise. All of the details were looked after leaving us to enjoy our stay. Thank you for sharing your place with us!

We had an amazing time, and we will definitely be back! The cottage had everything we needed, and the beach was amazing. We had all the water toys we could imagine, and sitting at the lake in the morning was my favourite thing to do. The accessible bathroom was perfect for my son and made our stay that much better. Neil was very accommodating, friendly, and quick to respond if there was anything we needed. The lake is so peaceful and we did not want to leave. Highly recommend :)

Excellent little place to stay, quiet quaint and away from the hustle and bustle. Hosts were super nice and went over everything with us to get us started. Everything was super clean and supplied. Would absolutely book again in future

Great little cabin for our short stay while travelling through. Easy check in, was very clean and comfortable. We met our host Lynn who was very friendly, and made sure we were enjoying our stay. Their property was very unkept and inviting. As guests you a free to use the waterfront amenities and the cabin has its out fire pit with supplied wood. We would highly recommend this cabin to anyone and would definitely hope to stay again on our travels through if it’s available. Thanks Lynn and Moe.

Highly recommend the beach cabin for a relaxing getaway! The property offers a serene space to enjoy the outdoors, the lake and to grill on the beach side wood fire grill (so awesome )!! The host provided lots of water equipment to kayak, canoe and paddle board. The dock was a great spot to enjoy the mist on the water at sunrise and a picturesque sunset! The cabin was super cute, clean and offers a great space for rainy or colder times. Games and books were inside so we always had something to do. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook and the covered patio offers another eating and hang out area. Great weekend and great memories were had here, come make yours!

What a great location for our week of R&R on beautiful Lake Nosbonsing, just half an hour from family in North Bay. We enjoyed this tastefully renovated small cottage with its private entrance and ample parking. It has a spacious bathroom, and a great fully equipped kitchen, including Keurig coffee maker (filter and pods). The queen bedroom is tight, and may be impractical for some. Good air flow throughout. Beautiful deck has sun all day. BBQ works well. We missed the sunsets, but loved sunrises and warm morning sun on the private dock for yoga, coffee and tranquil moments. Superb views from the house make up for light road noise behind. Enjoyed the birds, ducks, loons, etc. We swam at the cottage, but there's no beach. Down the road is Big Moose Beach. The private fire pit is well designed, for enjoyment and safety. There's a well stocked grocery store nearby, which even has a pizzeria. We'd be happy to rent this quaint cottage again. Beautiful cabin located on a great spot on Trout lake. 5 of us had a great time snowmobiling around North Bay and enjoy the hot tub at night. Thanks for having us!

We spent labor day weekend at the bunkie and absolutely loved it! It had everything we need with incredible views. The outdoor shower was lovely.

My husband and I just had a wonderful week at Mary's cottage. We took our kayaks and enjoyed paddling up and down the river, particularly in the early morning and evening hours when the water was like glass. Absolutely perfect spot for exploring by kayak and canoe. Cottage was super clean and cozy, exactly as described in the listing. What a lovely place to disconnect and listen to the quiet. Enjoyed shopping and lunch on a patio in Parry Sound one day, and were able to pick up a few necessities throughout the week (such as ice cream) at the Magnetawan Bait and Tackle nearby. The path from the parking spot down to the cottage and between cottage and dock is steep as described, but we're in our late 50's and managed multiple trips up and down every day, including carrying the kayaks from the car to the dock and back again at the end of our stay. We would be happy to stay here again.

We had an amazing time at Lori’s place. It had everything that we needed. Lori was extremely helpful and accommodating. Even though the weather was not kind, we still had a really peaceful time there. Special shoutout to the two beautiful furry friends Lori had. ❤️
