Welcome to our private romantic getaway at Hereford Cottage. Located in Whakatiwai, north of Kaiaua with a backdrop of the Hunua ranges. We absolutely love living here and thought we would like to share one of our favourite places with others. We offer a beautiful one-bedroom cottage with a lovely outdoor wood fire tub and a romantic little area with a firepit, nestled in a natural setting with views of a stream, native bush and native birds. Enjoy a night or a couple of nights here with us.

Centrally located, within a short walk to launch your kayak in one of the canals, or alternatively a short flat cycle or drive to gorgeous Buffalo beach, the town center with its assortment of cafes, restaurants, shops etc, only a couple of minutes commute.

Here you can relax and enjoy a drink overlooking the landscaped gardens, with only the native quail birdsong and ocean waves to be heard. Set in a quiet location, local restaurants, convenience stores, tennis courts and nature reserves are all within an easy walking distance.

Enjoy the birdsong, sunrise and daytime hours in the shady, tropical garden at the rear of the house with its generous outdoor seating and dining facilities, and take in the sunset from the deck and coastal garden in the front of the house.

A short drive to the fantastic Lukes Kitchen with a shuttle service available. World renowned News Chums beach, 15min drive followed by a spectacular 30min walk.

Relax and unwind in this cosy, well appointed villa. Close walk to the beach and just across the road from the Matarangi golf club and Dunes restaurant. The property is two stories with open plan living and bathroom on the ground floor and 3 bedrooms and a bathroom on first. You’ll have plenty to keep you entertained with board games, 2 bikes , 4 tennis rackets and cricket set. Watch the golfers on the 7th tee from the deck.
