A white sheep stands on a green hillside, surrounded by scattered rocks and boulders. Its distinctive bell hangs around its neck, and a rugged mountainous landscape is visible in the background under a clear blue sky.

Gîte-Deluxe-Countryside view-Ensuite

AndrewRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We really enjoyed our stay with Erick and Isabelle - they are wonderful hosts who made us feel very welcome, including organising a tasting of local Corbières wines, and a separate vinegar tasting. The house is beautiful, and very well equipped - for dinner, we could take our pick between bbqing outside on the terrace or cooking in the kitchen. For swimming, we were spoilt for choice, able to swim in the pool as well as in the river below the house. The countryside around the house is great for walks (and the nearby village is easily walkable), but it is quite remote, so a car is needed to get around, and to visit almost any of the nearby sights beyond the village. It was an amazing holiday, and having this great place to stay was a really important part of it!

The accommodation is enchanting, the surroundings too, Marie Christine carefully made sure that we did not lack anything, and in fact, we did not lack anything. I would definitely recommend this place.

A serene river flows through a lush green landscape, bordered by dense trees and rocky mountains in the background. The clear water reveals a few visible stones, while a group of people can be seen enjoying the river, nestled under the vibrant foliage.

Private riverside villa with breathtaking views

Zara's property is very comfortable. Spacious and well equipped. With a nice garden and an indoor fireplace that heats a lot in winter. We really liked how clean and tidy everything was. Perfect.

Spacious easy access ground floor flat in Axat

GeoffreyRating, 5 stars9 months ago
An excellent apartment on the ground floor of an old house in Axat. The kitchen was very well equipped. The apartment is spacious with an outside patio (but beware the mozzies). Axat is located between 2 breath-taking gorges on the Aude river. However, it turned out to be a good centre for seeing the fortified chateaus (all around), the mountains and high valleys to the south, and attractive villages all around. One warning: everything is closed on Sunday evening so you need to stock up. Failing that, try the Proxi store in Caudies.

This place is a little paradise. The house is very warm, the views are stunning. The garden is an Eden. The environment is very quiet. The hikes around the house are fabulous. Marlene and Bruce received us very well. This is a great place.
A spacious kitchen and dining area feature grey cabinetry paired with patterned tile accents. A large table with wooden chairs is positioned centrally, while a cozy armchair is situated nearby. Natural light enters through a glass door, enhancing the inviting ambiance of the room.

"La Petite Bicoque" at the bottom of the garden

MikeRating, 5 stars1 month ago
A great place to stay. The gite is perfect for 2 couples with a double, en suite, bedroom on each floor and plenty of space. It's attractively decorated and extremely well equipped for self-catering. The private garden was much appreciated and there was plenty of parking just across the road. La Petite Bicoque is brilliantly located, only a few minutes walk to Quillan's bars and restaurants. Orly was a very responsive host and Judith gave us a very friendly welcome. Thank you both!
