Our modern home is 15 minutes drive from Taupo but still feels like a secret hideaway. It is quiet and private with majestic views of Lake Taupo and Mount Ruapehu - the sunsets are stunning. Perfect for a getaway all year round with outdoor areas and BBQ, large windows and an indoor, double-sided fireplace. No cleaning fee. The cabin is a bedroom with the toilet, shower and kitchen located separately a few metres away. You are on the tip of a peninsula in the Whanganui River. Lie in bed and watch the fish rise in the morning or maybe sit around the fire in the evening enjoying the peace and quiet after a refreshing swim. Mountains are 40 mins away, kayaking tours 10 mins away and Taumarunui is 12km. Please don't bring water, free, safe water is provided. Limiting plastic is much appreciated.

Everything about this home was so inviting. She turned on the heat for us before we arrived which made the house instantly cozy. The beds were all so comfortable. The neighborhood is very quiet. We enjoyed our short stay and all slept very well!

My partner and I had very peaceful weekend away in the rimu hut. The surroundings are beautiful, and the hut itself has everything you could need. The wood fired bath is an added bonus, and the minimeg fireplace keeps the hut warm throughout the night. There was a mix of all weathers during our stay, with more rainbows than I could count, and the farm and our time there remained lovely throughout. Thank you for providing such a special space! : )

Great views at secluded stay near Tongariro NP. Amazing views of forest and mountains from everywhere inside and out on the deck. A few sets of stairs on the way in, so pack lightly if possible. Tim was very friendly and helpful throughout. Overall a great location for exploring the area or just staying in and enjoying the scenery.
