Garden Dwelling

We had a great stay at Evy's cabin. It was really peaceful and cozy and surrounded by nature. It was really nice waking up to the sound of sheep in the morning and sitting out on the deck taking in the view. The cabin felt private and calm, a great spot to unplug and slow down. Evy was lovely and gave us great tips on how to get around the lake. There's so many amazing places to visit nearby that's possible to go around everywhere without a car just hiking and enjoying the outdoors. Would definitely stay again.
A view is captured from an open doorway, revealing a vibrant green landscape framed by a wooden fence. Inside, a red sofa is complemented by a checkered blanket. The warm wood flooring contrasts with the soft carpet, creating a cozy entryway atmosphere.

The Place, Loweswater. Utter tranquillity.

We had a wonderful stay at The Place. The location is breathtaking, and the house itself is perfect - every detail is beautiful and well thought-out, and Lucy had provided anything one could think of. Everything was of very high quality, from the bed linen and towels to the kitchen equipment. We were all adults, but if you have children, there are lots of toys, games, and activities, so that even on rainy days, there is plenty to do. Great walks nearby, perfect both for those who like hills and those who prefer flatter ground - Buttermere and Crummock are wonderful low ground walks, and of course the walk though Holme Woods to the Kirkstile is lovely. Thanks, Lucy and Nick!
A large window frames a scenic view of surrounding mountains and trees. Soft sunlight filters through the glass, illuminating a cozy seating area adorned with cushions. A small decorative plant and figurines are positioned on the windowsill, adding character to the inviting space.

A lovely location, with lots to do and see. It was only a short drive or walk to most destinations. The house itself was very clean and comfortable to stay in. We would definitely come here again. Would 100% recommend it.

Derwent Farm House sleeps 2 - 6

You could not find a more stunningly beautiful, peaceful home and garden. The owners have really done wonders to the gardens and the wisteria growing on the accommodation was the envy of all walkers by. We loved every minute of it. As Peter mentioned the stairs to ALL bedrooms was quite steep and not recommended for the elderly. My 18 month old loved climbing up and down them (with supervision and assistance) however if your travelling there from the UK maybe bring a safety gate with you if you intend to leave small children sleeping alone upstairs. New walking paths with stunning views through the forests and around the lakes were endless and a cafe on the corner (2min walk) served many delicious treats. It really had everything you could need and want. Highly recommend

Field House Bothy - UK12571

This property is a jewel, small but never cramped and with stunning views across Derwent Water to Skiddaw. The property has been designed with careful attention to detail and is to a high standard. For us, this was the perfect base to explore the locality on foot and to venture further afield. Its central position in the lakes means that so many of the most remarkable places in the lakes are within easy reach. Our hosts were delightful and very helpful, working on an adjacent property at the time. We have stayed in a lot of rental properties and this is up there with the best. We wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Grange Bridge Cottage

Just WOW!! Blown away by how beautiful GBC is. Spotlessly clean, everything you need, and fantastic interior design. We have taken away some great ideas for our own homes. Location is the best…we didn’t have to get in the car, always a bonus. We hiked, cycled and swam (in the river) straight from the house. Views sitting in the garden are breathtaking and every evening, after an active day, we soothed our muscles in the hot tub with the fire pit on the go. We visited some lovely pubs within walking or cycling distance. Can’t wait to return…GBC definitely one of our happy places. Thank you so much Gavin and Viv.

A wonderful cottage in Newlands Valley

JakeRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had an amazing stay at High Snab farm! The cottage exceeded all our expectations, it was immaculately clean and very spacious. There was plenty of storage space and lovely extra touches that made us feel really at home for the week. Things like fruit, eggs, milk left upon arrival, jar of cotton wool pads in the bedroom, bbq with utensils and charcoal provided, and everything needed for use of the log burner. The kitchen was spotless and everything you might need was there, as well as lots of space to put away a big food shop. The bedroom and bathroom were fantastic, spacious and very clean with immaculate white linen making the rooms feel really fresh and airy. The surroundings were beautiful and each room had a fantastic view. There is lots of private outdoor space with seating and great views, really relaxing spots for breakfast and dinner outside. There are plenty of great walks straight from the door. We highly recommend this cottage and will definitely be back!
