What a beautiful slice of country life! We could have stayed for much longer - lovely home surrounded by hills and farmland, loved being close to farm animals and having long walks at our doorstep going out 2.5 hours. A little perk we couldn't get enough of was the farm fresh milk waiting for us in the fridge - and lots of other little touches here and there that made us feel right at home! Would love to be back one day 😍

The place is totally beautiful and suitable for a nice getaway from a busy city life. It’s peaceful and plenty of outdoor chilling area. The interior is tastefully decorated with personal touches. And Dale is so lovely to communicate throughout and understanding of our sudden change of situation. It’s hard to find such lovely hosts in Airbnb sometimes, so we are lucky to have met her!

The most amazing stay we've ever had! From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. We walked into a cozy house beautifully lit by a fire place. Fresh milk and eggs were waiting for us, and they were absolutely delicious. Janeen was incredibly helpful. Our little one was kept entertained with plenty of puzzles, Legos, and toys. One of the highlights was the tour of the farm. Janeen and Adrian showed us the cows, the cow shed, explained how the milking is done, and even let our little one collect fresh eggs from the chickens. The view over the mountains was breathtaking, and the river nearby made the whole place feel like a peaceful retreat. The sunrise in the morning was absolutely stunning. The hospitality we received was beyond amazing. This was truly the best stay we've ever experienced, and we can't wait to come back!

We had a great stay at Sharon’s place! House was clean, cozy and amenities were thoughtful and well-prepared, especially the log burner and kitchen, thanks for the milk and ginger cookies🥰. We’d be happy to stay there again if got any chance in the future!!

Andy was a very responsive and proactive host which made us feel relaxed and reassured to reach out if needed. The home was as described and suited our needs perfectly. The view was just glorious and the location fantastic!

Ross was so lovely to us, we arrived late and he was ready to go when we got there and he was even able to suggest some yummy food places around the corner for dinner. The house was tidy and clean and felt super cosy like home. Ross was super kind and gave us an upgrade which we were super happy about! Overall, I would definitely recommend this Airbnb, easy access, beautiful scenery and a trustworthy host.

We were touring around New Zealand and stayed across a number of BnB’s but none came close to this one. Simply beautiful, felt like we were at home, it was clean, woke up to cute sheeps grazing the fields. Everything was perfect :)

Peaceful weekend, super friendly hosts, we were welcome to walk on the farm with our dog, the house was fully fitted with everything and was warm. Peaceful surroundings, went for two good two hour walks. Plenty to do inside if it's raining.

Absolutely loved our stay at Andrew’s, it was so peaceful and surrounded by beautiful native bush, meaning the bird life was bountiful. The house was everything we needed, the fireplaces made us feel at home and cozy. Communication was great, and Catherine was super helpful and always available for questions. We’ll be back for sure!!

We absolutely loved our stay! The place was even more charming in person—cozy, clean, and full of thoughtful touches. Our little dog was over the moon exploring the space and the nearby area (tail wagging nonstop!). It was the perfect getaway for both us. Excellent stay, thank you! Perfect location, close to town but being in the edge of the property looking over the vineyards and orchards felt like we were much further away. Whilst close to the main house, it felt private in the space, and Katrina was a great host, very accommodating and welcoming. The tiny home itself was very cosy and homely, and plenty of room!Would definitely recommend!

We had a fantastic stay at the cottage. The surrounding farm is beautiful and the cottage itself is spacious and comfortable. Our toddler absolutely loved it. Alan is an extremely welcoming host. Highly recommended.

Fabulous stay. We chose Rural retreat as we were going to a wedding near by and it was Easter. Very well appointed and very comfortable. Thanks Claire for making our time there so relaxing and easy.

Everything was as described. Rural location but only 5 minutes to Otaki. Peaceful location. Good parking etc and host was excellent.

If, like me, you want a peaceful and relaxing stay in quiet and beautiful surroundings, then this is YOUR place. Everything was perfect. And like amazing Kiwi hosts, milk in the fridge and friendly and helpful! The scenery is just beautiful here, the birdsong and river and trees…..what a place!

We had the most restorative time at The Mars Barn! Was there on a girls retreat with my mum and we both agreed that the place couldn’t have been better. We had the best sleep we had all year, took advantage of the pristine pool each day and loved waking up to the sound of birds (after opening the doors) and looking out at the friendly goats! The space is so well designed for guests, feeling simultaneously out of the way and safe. Definitely hoping to make it an annual trip!

Amazing Cosy place. Perfect for what we were after. We did find it was a little bit difficult to navigate the tv. Bit figured it out in the end. I would recommend writing a small design in the folder for other guests regarding how to operate tv.

The location of the stay was phenomenal with amazing views, and a great deck to enjoy it on. We enjoyed the birds, the sunrises and sets. The spa was in a fun location and complimentary wine was well enjoyed. She teased of a sauna, please maybe next time... Thank you for sharing your slice of paradise with us, we very much enjoyed the stay, property and meeting Sheryl, Miisha, chickens and ducks, will definitely stay again!
