Places to stay in Mahone Bay

Really the perfect house for vacation. Great welcome and lots of little touches. The house is in a dream location, lovingly decorated and perfectly equipped. There's really nothing missing here. Super nice host with great tips and very good accessibility. If we come back to Nova Scotia, we will definitely book the Secret Beach House again. Dear Courtenay, Thank you so much for everything. This little spot so cute! Tracy & Dave have made the most of every square inch of this suite. So many lovely touches, a thorough guide book on the counter & everything you could think of to be comfortable. We requested help with luggage up the stairs & they were so accommodating. The top floor suite has a view of the water & the back yard but it is at the very top! Mahone Bay has great restaurants and coffee places, everything is nearby to Tracy’s place. The people , though, make it extra special. We were welcomed everywhere. Thank you, Tracy & Dave!

This place was beautiful! It has everything you need and more for a relaxing time, surrounded by beauty. With three littles, we appreciated all the toys and games they had! Kimiko was extremely helpful, accommodating and responsive. Would highly recommend this place for families!

We had the most wonderful stay at this charming Airbnb! The space was quaint, spotless, and incredibly peaceful - the perfect retreat for a relaxing getaway. The private hot tub overlooking the ocean was a definite highlight, and everything was thoughtfully prepared. It truly felt like our own little slice of paradise. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a serene escape!

Everything was excellent the island workers were accommodating and very friendly. My party and I were extremely pleased with our stay!

One of those rare times when a house described as "stunning" really lives up to it. John's house near Halifax is beautiful and serene, all windows and wood and incredible views out to the water in the cove and ocean beyond. Surrounded by trees and a garden path down to the dock, it feels private but not isolated. Great house on the inside also - spotlessly clean, streamlined so there's no clutter but everything you need, simple but quite beautiful also. Comfortable beds, great kitchen and bathrooms and just full of sunlight. Can't imagine a better spot to relax and recharge, and close to lots of good hiking. John is super friendly and responsive, a great host - look forward to coming back.

Chris & Reagan’s Green Goose Guesthouse just might be THE nicest, most perfect AirBnB we’ve ever stayed in — and we’ve stayed in plenty! It is idyllically located on a private tidal lake with picture-perfect views and loads of places to sit outside, from a BBQ and fire pit area to Adirondack chairs for star gazing to a lakeside swing to right-by-the-guesthouse dining. And oh, the Jacuzzi! With string lights and Bluetooth speakers, it was just The Best Jacuzzi Ever, and with the lake as backdrop, it can’t be beat. The guesthouse interior was pretty amazing too. Spacious and beautifully decorated — Reagan is herself an artist and jewelry maker — with a super-comfy King bed, a large kitchenette with every possible amenity, and tons of space. Loads of extras like bathrobes, slippers, a candy basket for late-night snacks and popcorn, fire-starting materials, binoculars, etc. Reagan met us on arrival and showed us around — perfect. Can’t recommend enough, and we hope to return soon!

Sarah and Peter were wonderful hosts; easy check-in/ check-out, responsive, and friendly! The cabin was everything we could have possibly hoped for for our quiet weekend outside of the city. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed, the bed was comfortable, and the woodstove made the space feel even more homey, especially during a rainy weekend. We had a lovely weekend and we would definitely love to come back! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The host was super responsive and answered any questions that arose promptly. Great place, very quiet and peaceful - which was exactly what we were after. Not far to visit family and other attractions in the Lunenburg area. We will most definitely stay again! Thank you!

We had an awesome stay — it is a beautiful home, very clean, with everything you need for the stay. It is a beautiful private location on a lake, very peaceful and relaxing. Danny and Lynn were super responsive to all my messages, and everything was as stated in the listing. Highly recommend!

Very cute cottage just 3 minutes from downtown Mahone Bay. Loved the folks art by a local artist . They are hung in the little alcove and I bought two of them . If you need a large grocery store there are two in Bridgewater which is just a 20 minute drive.Bathroom is tiny but does have a full size shower/tub combo. I highly recommend a meal at Rebecca's, Sandwiches from Joann's Market,coffee from The Barn. Thanks Lisette,you were a great hostess.

Jodie and Marc’s airbnb was above and beyond what we anticipated. Although the weather wasn’t what we were hoping for, we had such a great time. They had numerous amenities and necessities that were all provided. It was a great place to have a nice staycation away from the hustle and bustle of the city. If you have any fur friends, this is the place you want to go! Although we didn’t bring any puppers with us, we were pleasantly surprised at the thoughtfulness Jodie and Marc provide for your furry friends! The thought that has gone into this Airbnb is impeccable. Would definitely stay here again and again!

We stayed at Appleglen over our son's wedding weekend. The house was perfect - it was clean and had everything we needed. Beautiful accommodation in a beautiful little town :)

If you want a peaceful stay with aesthetically pleasing surroundings then this is the place to go. Located halfway between beautiful Mahone Bay and charming Lunenburg, it gave you many options. The hosts are friendly and helpful. The B&B was immaculate. Great place for a stay.

Amazing stay in an adorable, well furnished and colorful cottage close to the sea. The cottage itself has everything you need, including a wonderful hot tube. The location is just perfect, very quite and close to the sea as of the main touristic attractions. Last but not least, Sean and his husband were fantastic and so friendly - they made our stay even better. We Will definitely come back :)
