The cottage itself is beautifully constructed, giving off a fantastic homely vibe with stunning views of the lake. The team even torched the gardens for us in the evening, creating a magical, serene atmosphere. The pool was always clean, inviting, and accessible — a perfect spot to unwind whenever we wanted. All our basic needs were thoughtfully and thoroughly taken care of, making the entire experience completely stress-free. The place was absolutely gorgeous—truly nothing negative to say. It struck the perfect balance between luxury and the warmth of home. The host, Jen, was proactive and incredibly responsive from the start, making the entire experience smooth and stress-free. The staff were exceptional, especially the villa manager, Ushan, who had an uncanny sense of when to be present and when to give us space. Even when not physically around, he ensured every request was met. The cook prepared amazing meals daily, and the entire property was spotless, with every amenity thoughtfully provided. We genuinely regretted only staying for four days—it simply wasn’t enough time in such a beautiful setting. We’re already planning to return. Bonus: it was unexpectedly fun spotting dragonflies around the property—just one of many charming touches.

The treehouse is an amazing place to stay for exploring the south coast of Sri Lanka. The location is very private and enclosed but still close to the towns of Unawatuna and Galle. The treehouse itself was very clean and had everything we needed to cook and even have a BBQ! The pool was a great size and depth with a cool rope swing. The hosts were very helpful and attentive, with a very friendly doorman. We wish we could have stayed longer as this was the highlight of our trip.

We booked to nights in Deepika’s beach cabanas. A wonderful place where sea turtles swim right outside your window. Unfortunately we ended up staying only one night. Not due to anything wrong with the cabana it was as described. But we were travelling with a 2 year old child and underestimated the heat without an aircon and the loud sounds of the waves crashing in during the night. Deepika was very helpful and helped arrange a transfer from our previous hotel so we could find et easily and check in went smooth.

Terrene Villa was everything and more. Jalal responded quickly to any queries before arrival and during the booking process. We stayed for two weeks as a family of 4, plus daughter's boyfriend. The villa is stunning and just as described. Sri Lanka is the gift that keeps on giving and Terrene Villa is the perfect place to enjoy it all. Suda and Judi (apologies if I have spelt their names wrong) were a delight and looked after us very well. Their breakfasts were enjoyable and the fresh juices were delicious. The gardens were kept beautifully and what a joy to see monkeys in the trees and on the roof! Viraj sorted all our travel and day trips out and was always quick to reply and make suggestions. We were so sad to leave the villa, it really is an oasis of calm.
